El tren Vasco - Navarro, cariñosamente calificado como “El Trenico”, resultó ser el motor de cambio en las vidas de las personas que habitaban la montaña y la llanada alavesa. Conectaba, en su segundo tramo con Estella -el primero conectaba Vitoria con Bergara y Altos Hornos-, desde donde se transportaban mercancías, personas, cultura, economía, turismo, conocimientos, crecimiento... vida.Este proyecto trata de enlazar a través de los sentidos la historia de la región en aquellos años 60. Se trata de una retrospectiva en el tiempo para percibir los avances, conocer la vida de nuestros antepasados y mirar hacia el futuro conociendo de dónde venimos.
“FLASHBACK” nos lleva a una realidad futurista que retrata un pasado cercano. Situándose dentro del recorrido que trazaba “el Trenico”, junto a la antigua estación de Maeztu. Se trata de un mural de más de 30m de longitud que narra “La Espera” para o durante el viaje: la vida en las estaciones y la importancia de estas hermosas arquitecturas en la vida y crecimiento social, económico, turístico y cultural de los habitantes de la zona.
El mural funciona como una ventana a una realidad aumentada, donde se podrán descubrir vivencias mediante sonidos, testimonios y elementos visuales interactivos. El objetivo es crear una experiencia retrospectiva al espectador y hacerle partícipe, para aprender de forma divertida y basada en la experiencia de crear tu propio descubrimiento.
El uso del teléfono móvil y la descarga de la aplicación (FLASHBACK: El Trenico) será necesario para acceder a la experiencia completa diseñada por Irantzu Lekue y Tecnalia, con la colaboración del Ayuntamiento de Arraia-Maeztu, Diputación Foral de Álava, Fundación Vital y el programa KSI Berritzaile del Gobierno Vasco.
