Description

When a family member or a friend has diabetes, you want to be supportive and stay close. You might want to know if their glucose levels go too high or too low, be able to quickly and easily access their insulin pump and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system information.

With the CareLink™ Connect app, now you can remotely see their glucose levels and insulin pump information wherever you are, so you can know how they are doing.

The CareLink™ Connect app helps you quickly accomplish these tasks:
Let you securely view glucose levels, graphs, and trends
Sends you high or low glucose levels notifications, so you can be informed and supportive
Shows you the status of the insulin pump system, for greater peace of mind

To remotely view pump system information, family members or friends need to install the CareLink™ Connect app on their compatible mobile device. Also, the person with diabetes needs a MiniMed™ 700-series insulin pump, the MiniMed™ Mobile app installed on a compatible mobile device, which then should be connected online to the CareLink™ software. To find a list of compatible devices, please visit medtronicdiabetes.com/app-check.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive real-time updates, the app needs to continuously receive data from the CareLink™ servers, and the insulin pump system needs to sync with the CareLink™ servers through the MiniMed™ Mobile app. The CareLink™ Connect app only works with the MiniMed™ 700-series insulin pump systems; it currently does not support other standalone CGM systems, MiniMed™ or Paradigm™ insulin pumps.

The CareLink™ Connect app is intended to provide a secondary display of insulin pump and CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) system data on a supported mobile device. CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to replace the real-time display of insulin pump or CGM data on the primary display device. All therapy decisions should be based on the primary display device.

CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to analyze or modify the insulin pump and CGM data that it receives. Nor is it intended to control any function of the insulin pump or CGM system to which it is connected. CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to receive information directly from the insulin pump or CGM system.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Not compatible with Android 15
2 ★This app just stopped working and disappeared from the phone. We can't seem to get back into it. It say to create a new account and then when you it already exist but when to you try to sign in it say creat a new account. We depended on this app alot and don't know what to do.
3 ★App not working on Android 15 system. Medtronic please resolve this issue quickly.
1 ★Sucks!!!!!!!!
1 ★I have to log in every single time I leave the app. It defaults to USA. So frustrating trying to see what a notification is and having to always log in
1 ★Worked on my old Samsung A, but would not work on Android 12,13,or 14. Doesn't work on Kindle or Lenovo tablets either at present. When it connects it works okay. My 780g hooks to Carelink with Bluetooth, but none of my working devices connect with this app. My 770g & 670 use the sugar checker USB to connect to my computer for updates, but not the 780g.
1 ★App never maintains connectivity with the owner's device. I always get a no data message. What good is this app if I can't monitor my loved ones??? Update: several months later, still having many issues. I keep getting logged out and saying my country is not supported but then lets me log right back in. IOT device connectivity in 2024 is not rocket science. I expect better from a medical devices company whose lives we rely on. Update #2: new update, still a terrible experience
2 ★Still waiting for the app to support my phone (motorola edge plus 5G UW (2022), android version 14. My have had the mini med 780g
4 ★I year ago I gave this app 1 star due to up to 1 hr delays in notifications of something is wrong. Now it is around a 15 minute delay for some reason. I understand there will be a delay as my wife's app uploads the info to Care-Link servers, then get a push notification sent to my phone. The log in problems and constant auto log-offs have stopped. I'm able to monitor my wife's glucose more closely now when needed. I got an email today 11/19/24 stating I need to update to v3.3, but v3.3 not here.
4 ★Somebugs need fixed. It would be great if it had trouble shooting
