Description

When a family member or a friend has diabetes, you want to be supportive and stay close. You might want to know if their glucose levels go too high or too low, be able to quickly and easily access their insulin pump and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system information.

With the CareLink™ Connect app, now you can remotely see their glucose levels and insulin pump information wherever you are, so you can know how they are doing.

The CareLink™ Connect app helps you quickly accomplish these tasks:
Let you securely view glucose levels, graphs, and trends
Sends you high or low glucose levels notifications, so you can be informed and supportive
Shows you the status of the insulin pump system, for greater peace of mind

To remotely view pump system information, family members or friends need to install the CareLink™ Connect app on their compatible mobile device. Also, the person with diabetes needs a MiniMed™ 700-series insulin pump, the MiniMed™ Mobile app installed on a compatible mobile device, which then should be connected online to the CareLink™ software. To find a list of compatible devices, please visit medtronicdiabetes.com/app-check.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive real-time updates, the app needs to continuously receive data from the CareLink™ servers, and the insulin pump system needs to sync with the CareLink™ servers through the MiniMed™ Mobile app. The CareLink™ Connect app only works with the MiniMed™ 700-series insulin pump systems; it currently does not support other standalone CGM systems, MiniMed™ or Paradigm™ insulin pumps.

The CareLink™ Connect app is intended to provide a secondary display of insulin pump and CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) system data on a supported mobile device. CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to replace the real-time display of insulin pump or CGM data on the primary display device. All therapy decisions should be based on the primary display device.

CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to analyze or modify the insulin pump and CGM data that it receives. Nor is it intended to control any function of the insulin pump or CGM system to which it is connected. CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to receive information directly from the insulin pump or CGM system.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

User's Reivew

1 ★I get the message Device Unsupported when I run this. I need to monitor my loved one's therapy. Why is this app device-specific and why is there no mention of this in the description? Moto z4 phone on Android 10.
1 ★Why is the A51 not supported?!? We've been waiting for Bluetooth for years. When it does come out again, it STILL doesn't work!!
1 ★App isn't compatible with all androids (I have a one plus 6t). It mostly only works with iphones and samsung.
1 ★Samsung A51 not supported :(
1 ★I can't use this app because it's incompatible with my Samsung S20 FE. There's no reason my phone shouldn't be able to handle this app as it's the newest of its kind, supports 5G, and it even has Bluetooth for communicating with my Minimed 770g pump. Expand your support, and hopefully I'll be able to give your app a better rating if it runs well.
1 ★Medtronic, why does this app (which merely retrieves data from CareLink) need to go through strict compatibility checks and requirements that prevent most Android devices from running the app? Why can't users just accept the risks of using an unverified device to be able to use the app? Considering this is the sole flagship feature of your 770G (until the 780G upgrade comes), to say that it's disappointing that I can't benefit from the feature is an understatement.
1 ★Doesn't work with my phone.....can't afford new phone as well as new pump.....VERY disappointed
