Description
The application Sifnos Trails is a digital field guide for the trail network SifnosTrails. The total length of the network exceeds 100 km and is divided into 19 beautiful trails.The project started in 2015 and is being managed by the Municipality of Sifnos in collaboration with "Paths of Greece".
The ultimate aim of the Sifnos Trails project is to help the island’s visitors explore its natural and cultural beauties in a pleasant way.
The application offers offline maps and detailed description, an interactive list of POIs and photos for each one of the 19 route. In the field, the app provides active navigation to the hiker.
All app elements, the text, the photos, the routes and the cartography are genuine information collected, written and compiled by the group Paths of Greece.
The management of the cartography and the development of the application was done by the cartographic company AnaDigit.
The creation of the application was funded by Aegean Speed Lines.
