君は、肉鍋を名物とする小さな村で、猟師団の団長を務めている。
ある日、村で流行り病が起こり、次々と倒れる村人たち。

最高の鍋に必要な材料は、伝承の生き物である「幻獣」の肉。
樹海や熱砂、雪山といった厳しい大自然に身を投じ、
