قيد الفراشة تناولت أدق وأرفع التفاصيل عن مشاعر المرأة على طول الحياة؛ طفلة، مراهقة، شابة، عجوز. حبيبة، زوجة، أم. سجينة، حرة. مظلومة، ظالمة. مكسورة الجناحين أو فراشة طائرة. ولم تغفل عن مشاعر الرجل بأى حال؛ أفردت له المساحة وطبطبت على مشاعره بدون تمييز، قيد الفراشة لم تنصف المرأة على حساب الرجل أو العكس، فى روايتها للعلاقة بين الرجل والمرأة كانت تنصف الإنسانية والمشاعر وليس النوع، لذا تجد من الصعب جداً أن يتحامل القارىء على الجنس الآخر من الأبطال، تحامله سيكون على الإنسان أياً كان نوعه.
