Esma-ül Hüsna, Allah’ın isimleri için kullanılan bir tabirdir. Esma-i Hüsna 99 isimle sınırlı değildir, derin mânâlar taşır. İşte Esma-i Hüsna gerçeği... İsmin çoğulu olan esmâ ile “güzel, en güzel” anlamındaki hüsnâ kelimelerinden oluşan Esmâ-i Hüsnâ (Esmâü’l-Hüsnâ) terkibi naslarda Allah’a nisbet edilen isimleri ifade eder. Sadece Kur’an’da geçen ilâhî isimler 100’den fazladır; muhtelif hadislerde Allah’a nisbet edilen başka isimler de mevcuttur. Esmâ-i Hüsnâ terkibinin, geniş anlamıyla bunların hepsini kapsamakla birlikte terim olarak daha çok doksan dokuz ismi içerdiği kabul edilir.
