Use this handy Mi Drive app to check real-time road and traffic information about Michigan (M), Interstate (I) and US routes across the state before getting behind the wheel. It's brought to you by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).

With Mi Drive, you can:
Scroll and zoom an interactive map
See real-time traffic camera views and changeable message signs on major routes
Click on traffic incident and construction icons for more information
Check real-time, color-coded speeds on major routes
Zoom into any area of the map, using either your current location or selected cities and zip codes
Find rest areas and Welcome Centers across Michigan
Locate MDOT carpool lots
Check out mapped active or planned construction by route number or county
Locate airports and roadside parks across the state
See Upper Peninsula road camera views
Turn layers on and off to personalize your view. Your settings will be remembered.

5 ★Helps to avoid road construction, congestion, and accidents. Very helpful when driving in unknown territory and want a detour.

2 ★Poorly done. Pull down doesn't work when setting to my location, that should be a default setting. Reported other incidents first before reporting the crash just 2 miles from where I live.. Shouldn't it report the closest ones first...

5 ★A must have app whether you're a daily commuter or a sporadic infrequent traveler. Plan travel routes avoiding hazzards/incidents, see which roads are being plowed currently, find a rest area with a vending machine, and much more!

3 ★After last update very unimpressive

2 ★While it's nice to see construction zones and cameras the app itself is very buggy. Within minutes I was repeatedly zoomed out to the entire state. One wrong tap on the screen and you're back at state level! Clicking a camera is easy however seeing the image from that camera and getting the image to collapse is ridiculous! By the time you get the image on your screen to see it, you've accidentally clicked a different camera on the map and need to pan to that one. And the cycle begins! Very poor execution!

2 ★The app feels rushed, and has a NUMBER of bugs. I would NOT suggest downloading until they make some significant improvements. At this point it is unusable.

3 ★Very first impressions are it is a little slow loading on my LG 4G phone, I suspect it is because they are loading a lot of information. The map is OK but I don't need so much detail, they could use a GPS style of map (low resolution) and offer an aerial view map if the user wants that. Also for the camera view, where it pops up a photo, it would be nice if it would auto center that picture, if you chose a camera at screens edge, it does center but if it is close to the edge it will have part of that picture off the edge of the screen.
