1 ★when i bought the F.one for 3 years ago; the app back then was workable but now after updating it has becom unusable; why is that so, I believed that Flir inc did care about its users...I am not slone on this problem. a bit disapoited will i say. shame

2 ★Good concept, but the app doesn't work with the Flir One gen 3. The video is distorted beyond recognition, and the app crashes every few seconds

Works very well with Flir Android Gen2 on Samsung S3 (FLIR company app unnecessarily banned the old S3 model with some update since 2017, so went looking for alternative and found Sven's app.) Good stability and good rendering of images. I have not tried Sven's remote webcam feature yet. I look forward to future updates of this app - this is a worthy contribution to FLIR ONE ecosystem and I wish to encourage Sven to continue forward. Thank you Sven Killig for this very fine app.

1 ★Well, it's two years since I first posted a review of this app, pointing out the distorted and uncorrectable aspect ratio. Nothing has been improved since then. The image in the smartcam app is still distorted and is not resizable. I can only view the stream locally - it's not at all clear how to take the received display in the smartcam app and re-serve it as a webcam. The streaming has a considerable lag and it gets worse the longer the program is running. I really wanted to give this program a chance and support an independent programmer but he's had his chance. This app is starting to look like abandonware, so dropping my rating from 4 stars to 1.

5 ★It works for me. I don't really like the smart cam application, but it open and source and most importantly, free, so can't complain. Good job!
