1 ★We spent $100 that we could not afford on the pos. Not only will the app not connect to the trap (we keep getting a sorry there's been an error message) but the power won't stay on, nor is there a light or button that confirms the unit is ON. We are so frustrated. We now have to risk our health to return to homedepot to return or replace it. Unacceptable for the price you charge.
1 ★Followed instructions, will not connect trap. Tried this on 2 different phones. Trap is worthless. Have had it 2 months, 0 mice caught. Trap does work ok, just not with notifications. Wifi option should work as advertised without modifying the Comcast router. After setting up 2.4 connection with new name, still will not connect trap to wifi.
2 ★hooking up information seriously lacking, do step by step and take your time. when it wants you to hook to their internet it is only temporary . . . give it a minute or two then go to your app. . .the app will then want to hook to your internet . . . a few minutes after you do that it will tell you that the bait station is connected. two hours later, it finally worked! a little proper instructions from the company would have helped!
1 ★Does not connect ANY trap to wireless... Have seperate 2.4ghz wireless.Tried 13 different brand new routers.Just times out and says it didnt connect. The only question I would like answered after purchasing 500 traps is to explain to me EXACTLY why and what the problem is.Or send someone from woodman to my business and set all these traps up in person. Or send someone to pick up these traps in person and refund my money. Not that I wont stop complaining until I get a reason and solution.
4 ★A little heavy handed on the app privacy and permission for a $60 trap. However, it works as advertised. Watch out for auto correct while entering wifi passwords, as this got me the first time. Knowing when trap is sprung solves the single biggest problem with older electric traps, rigid stuck dead rat!
5 ★I can't speak for the other reviews on this app; however, I had no issues setting this up. Hell, the same process you go through to setting this trap up is the same as setting up my Google home or assistant. I got this product because the previous one I had was the older one that didn't connect to wifi.
1 ★Everytime i connect my phone to trap, for some reason i lose all internet connection, as soon as i disconnect it internet is back. Trying to connect trap to app wont work as soon as i put in the code on the back, it says theres an error and cant find it. When i back out of app and try and load a webpage i can see there is no internet. App has to be connected to internet and trap at same time which is impossible as connecting to app disables internet.
4 ★like many others here, trap does not connect to WiFi. New years day so I'll call tomorrow. manual trap checks for now. Update 1/7/2019 - Frustrated as even a call to Customer Service didn't help, and he said to ship it back for a replacement. Not giving up easily, i found a user review on the Home Depot reviews page that mentioned that a network password with a space wouldn't work. I used this information and realized that an OPEN network (not password protected), ALSO didn't work, since a 'blank' password is essentially all spaces. Solution was to create a network password (for my router way out here in the boonies), and sure enough, it connected right off the bat. You're welcome. And I just got an alert for my first (internet-connected) kill on my phone. I'll change my '2' rating to a '4'. The unit works great, but I shouldn't have had to figure this out on my own (keeping it from being a '5').
1 ★I am unable to connect to the wifi at all with this. I have tried: - changing batteries - renaming SSID - changing wifi pass - changing wifi auth type - being near my router - reinstalling the app I have correctly followed the steps multiple times with 3 different devices and had no success connecting, unfortunately.
5 ★Following the instructions, step-by-step resulted in an easy install and the 2 traps connected to my phone. Hubby installed the app and the app immediately found the traps for his phone. We woke up to an alert and it was quick and easy to empty the trap. Definitely worth the money for the WiFi feature.
1 ★App does not work on my phone because it requires Android version 5, but nowhere on yes box or website do they post this requirement. Hot can a simple App like this require v5 when there are a lot of more sophisticated Apps that work fine with older versions. Also it displays they battery charge level at 30% when they are in fact fully charged. Apparently they App developer has not tested they trap with rechargable batteries installed.
2 ★I bought the trap Thursday last week. Got first mouse the following night, I received both notification and total kills one. Great! I thought! On Saturday night a note was received but total kill was zero despite the fact that a mouse was dead in the trap. Today morning (Monday) checked the trap, it was a third mouse dead in it but I received no notification and total kill still zero. This is not ok! The batteries are ok I cleaned as it should be done, the trap has always been in the same place. I dought the wifi trap just for the reason not to check it so often. Paul from Sweden
