Description
Tell Me The Time provides a speaking clock and a talking night clock. This app tells you the current time, when you are currently not able to take a look on your clock, for example if you ride by bicycle or by motorcycle, drive a car or you lying in the morning in your bed and want to know what time it is and if you can continue sleeping.This speaking clock app is ideal for all biker, bicyclist, car driver, sports person, visually impaired persons or all persons who are currently not able to take a look on their watch.
An announcement of time can be trigger from the speaking clock automatically in a selected time interval or by pressing the headset button, by shaking the device or by wiping your hand over the proximity sensor of the phone. With the special night clock mode, you do not need to open your eyes, just wave your hand over the phone and the time will be announced. Additionally in this mode the screen can be activated and the time can be displayed.
A time announcement can be triggered by:
- a selected time interval
- pressing the headset button
- wiping with your hand over the proximity sensor
- shaking the device
- power button
The time can be announced in a system independent volume.
The format and the style of the speaking clock is individual adjustable.
The text and background colors of the nightstand clock are free configurable.
The night clock automatically starts when the mobile device is connected to a power supply.
IMPORTANT! A text-to-speech engine must be installed, like for example Google TTS, IVONA TTS, Vocalizer TTS or SVOX Classic TTS. The TTS engine is not part of this application and can be downloaded from the Play Store. The quality of the voice depends from the installed TTS engine.

1 ★doesnt actually tell time at intervals, i kept trying to get it to work but it doesnt tell me every five minutes... if the dev could get back to me to maybe help me figure out how to get it to do this, i would be grateful
2 ★The time is sometimes announced several times in a row. It's annoying. Also, frequently the time doesn't announce when it should.

4 ★It is good as what i need. However if there is a setting for the time duration everyday in a week that the clock anounces the time at the defined interval, that worths 5 stars. With deficiency of the above function, i have to start it and stop it everyday. I dont want to get sound after work. Hope the text to speech is optional for other TTS app. Google voice is terrible.
1 ★For a standard talking clock. why do you need to read Sd card content? why do you want to read phone identity? its only a speaking clock. you dont need to read peoples private information. watch what you download people. check permissions first before downloading any apps. And if you want to use app without annoying ads?. before you run app. shut off your internet. then run app. no ads. no annoying pop ups. when finish app. shut app. then turn your internet back on.
5 ★In all respects, a very good clock with good features. Some minor drawbacks : Only female voice. No male voice. Compulsory display of time. No way to disable this feature. Every time I open the cover of mobile, compelled to press the Back Button to clear this time display - irritatinng.
3 ★I've loved this for ages... Really useful in the morning to pace me getting ready as I'm bad telling how long time has passed. Especially love it on the bike 🚲 so I can know the time without stopping etc. However, it's just stopped. And not working over music but it has been working fine over music. Really puzzled and disappointed 😥. Not sure if there is anything to do?
4 ★Love that app announces the time, outloud~> prrrrfectly ! Before this I was always hopelessly struggling to find my eyeglasses to check, "what time is it, day or night?" 🤔. Can even add an intro sound* if the user wants one, (pretty cool... ) ! However, AI leaves me wanting mmmmore please.? After all, this IS A SPEAKING APP, RIGHT? So o o o ~> why can it not ALSO announce the DATE if you don't mind me asking. Is it ME.? It's not you, it me... Ha Ha Ha pretty please with sugar😇
3 ★The latest version is worse in terms of setting the interval. I don't use this that often, but now it takes 5 steps to set the interval for speaking the time. I don't remember it taking more than three steps in the past. It should be much easier. I'll be looking for another app now.
1 ★Doesn't speak tome with music playing....sorta useless if you're working to music and would like to be kept informed as to what time it is.
