Datos Abiertos (open data en inglés) es una iniciativa global, ligada a las políticas de Gobierno Abierto, que persigue que los datos y la información, especialmente las que poseen las administraciones públicas, se publiquen de forma abierta, regular y reutilizable para todo el mundo, sin restricciones de acceso, copyright, patentes u otros mecanismos de control.
La filosofía origen de estas iniciativas es fomentar la transparencia, la eficiencia, la participación ciudadana y el desarrollo económico.
Como ciudadanos/as queremos saber qué gases respiramos, qué rutas diarias mejorarían nuestra calidad de vida o en qué momento abrir nuestras ventanas para respirar el mejor aire posible en los lugares dónde vivimos.
Y como desarrolladores y dentro del proyecto integrador de este año queremos utilizar los datos abiertos del Ayuntamiento para mostrarlos en un app que además tenga un doble carácter didáctivo y divulgativo y pueda servir para conectar personas y sensibilizar sobre el cuidado del planeta.
