1 ★Absolute garbage. I used Storm Tracker for years and NEVER missed a beat. Sadly, June 30th, 2021, the company stopped running the program and recommended I use Weather Channel app. You can't get the future forecast without paying a monthly fee. Storm Tracker- not only was insanely accurate, they gave you past, present and future (live) radar forecast and FREE! Sad to see them go, disappointed they recommended this bollocks
1 ★Quite the downgrade from Storm, which remains on the store but is no longer in service. I have enjoyed and relied upon Storm for years for its unmatched combination of ease of use, accuracy, and feature-rich, information-dense screens. Storm showed radar first, and allowed you to drill down in your current location or others for further detail. This app pushes more ad content than weather, UI is poorly organized and you have to fish for things that should be front and center. Uninstalling!
1 ★I used Storm Radar until it finally ceased working because I had a feeling TWC app was going to be bad. I was not surprised but still disappointed. Advertisements are now "in your face" constantly and the app is slow and buggy. Frequently does not load radar data expediently, no longer may I click on a town for a forecast, and the lack of info in the free version simply will NOT force me to buy the paid version simply because of principle alone. TWC has really gone downhill over the years.
1 ★TWC app use to be my go-to app for forecasts and more, but the pushing of the ads and locking out certain videos unless you buy the premium package just killed it. In the past, an ad every now and then was tolerable but now one pops up everytime you click on something. I guess all good things must come to an end eventually. Uninstalling....
2 ★The forecast seems to be more accurate than other weather providers. This app has quite a few ads, and$30 per year seems a bit expensive to get rid of advertisements and have more forecast data. I also wish the home page would have a editable layout, so the stuff that is important to you can be placed right at top.
2 ★Not happy with the 20 minute gap/break in the radar. I assume this fills in if you pay the premium price but holding vital data hostage to the almighty dollar seems despicable. A lot can happen in 20 minutes. AND the notifications don't update properly. Still alerting to "Severe Thunderstorms" re: TS Elsa. That ship sailed, apparently without a Captain.
2 ★Pluses: App is very extensive, detailed, and reliable. Negs: I often hesitate to use due to the time it takes to get to what I want, too many ads. ALSO, They are big on videos, which I don't care for. I remove 2 more stars because they did away with the Storm Radar App, my goto for instant radar access that was way better than most out there. I use Accuweather more now. One other app with more info than both is eWeather, but you gotta be into weather to take advantage of it's info.
2 ★Not reliable at all for planning a day. Lots of app features, but these fools are completely wrong on 50% of the forecasts! Example: this past Friday NIGHT they called for 70-80% rain all day Saturday & Sunday... and when each day came, suddenly down to 15-17%. Just cloudy! This happens frequently too. Apparently anyone can be a "weatherperson"! In no other career can you be so terrible at your job & not get fired.
1 ★Lately it's nothing but ads ads and more ads. I click on 7 day forecast and get...a damn ad. And half the time things don't even load so I have to close the app, re open it and see...more ads. I know this is one of those "let's make the free app junk so people get frustrated and pay for premium" ploys but I'll download a different app before I do that.
1 ★This app has only loaded as it is supposed to once, the day I installed it. Now, it is stuck buffering when I open it. I have checked for updates, deleted cache data, restarted app and device and still it does not load. Storm Radar was better and it's a shame people have to pay to have reliable weather information. I will use MyRadar instead since it actually loads.
1 ★Was using the old app that they discontinued. This is hot garbage compared to it. Ads everywhere, Pop-ups, stupid notifications, loses location...I could go on. I just want severe weather alerts and radar. I don't need 4000 news story notices and irrelevant weather. I turned every notification of and it still came up multiple times a day with bs. Will be uninstalling fast.
2 ★Messy, cluttered, user UN-friendly, WAAAAY too many ads popping up while searching the app for useful information. Less is more weather channel!! Downloaded this app since the last one ended 6/30. Living in West Central Florida with TS Elsa just passing I found this app unusable. Do not recommend unless you're entertained by businesses trying to get into your wallet.
