Firda Tidend kom første gong ut i juli 1924. Avisa har gått frå å vere eit kamporgan for bonderørsla, til å bli ei lokalavis for Gloppen og Jølster. I dag publiserer vi kontinuerleg på nett, og kjem som papiravis to gonger i veka – tysdag og fredag. Frå 2018 vart alle tilsette samla i Skarsteinhuset i Sandane sentrum i Nordstrandsvegen, og i 2022 etablerte vi kontor på Skei. I tillegg til å vere tett på nyheitsbiletet, ønskjer vi å følgje både næringsliv, politikk, oppvekst, sport og kultur på ein grundig måte.
