Description
MedWisely is a prescription drug abuse and misuse risk management app. It is an educational intervention app for the purpose of public health that will assess user’s risk of misuse and abuse based on survey questions, and recommend educational topics to become aware of the consequences, and learn behavioral skills to reduce their risks. It is developed under National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) funding in collaboration with Naval Health Research Center (NHRC). The app will be evaluated in a NHRC Institute Review Board (IRB) approved study, where the consenting individuals receiving prescription from the Pain Clinic will use it over the study period. The app also provides a set of tools to log their pain inventory, medication side effect, and medication adherence that they can share with the providers at the Pain Clinic.Latest updates
