2 ★I've been using this for a couple years now and loved it. The additional tools are great but losing 3D when offline is a real downgrade. It would have gotten 5 stars before offline 3d was removed, this was very useful in steep, nasty terrain. I'm am disappointed in the offline downloads, the resolution is hardly good enough to use.
2 ★This appears to be a pretty good app. My problem with it is l don't like the fact that I am signing over my credit card to them. I would purchase this app if I could make a one-time purchase for one month or one year rather than monthly or yearly recurring payments forever. They claim you can cancel any time. Good luck!! Been air dun at with other services.And I wonder if anyone besides myself has even read the agreement. If it doesn't wake you up, I'm sorry for you my friend.
4 ★Amazing for offline use. I am from Maine and we have alot if the northern maine woods that has no cell service what so ever and onxhunt works awesome! Even shows you moving on the map. Only negative thing I can say is it isn't up to date. Satellite needs to update! Other then that it's amazing. I am having a issue with showing me the wildlife management districts. When I downloaded zone 4 it showed me tye wmd and now I can't figure out how to get the wmd lines back. Great price !!
1 ★The first few months the app worked fine. I then went on vacation to a different state. I NEVER prompted the app to change my state, but it did. I was never able to get it back to my home state so I had no property information. I found a competitor app that was more user friendly AND more options for the money and I switched to that one. Uninstalling this app after posting this review. With today's technology there are other options. Keep your product user friendly and don't get greedy... BYE
5 ★hear about the app never used it my friend had it for our elk hunt. so I got to see it being used and it is really good to have . especially if your hunting off in the high country and over hills. using this with the tracker you can keep track of where you are but you will be able to get back to where camp is if you get turned around and don't know where you are. this is by far my most favorite app I have on my phone.
1 ★*subscription required* When you first open the app, you have to create an account. Only after creating an account does it tell you that you have to pay either 99 a year or 44 a year for a single state. There's no free option. On top of that, there is no delete account option on the app, you have to email support. Wish I could rate this lower.
5 ★I have been using this app for several years now. I feel it's the best for me. Marking trails adding pics to way points, weather at a touch, tracking major fires, Topography, GMU(game management units) But most of all scouting new areas is great as I can scout larger areas and NOT GET LOST. It will be the best once they get Android in DASH!!!!! I even got my friend to get it.
5 ★There seems to be a small bug on Android, if you long press accidentally and the create waypoint modal appears, you cannot reliably use the back button in the app or the device back button to discard the waypoint. You have to either save the accidental waypoint or kill the app entirely and restart it to continue using OnX. Pixel 6 Android 14
4 ★Got the premium 5 mo ago, not the elite. I like the helpful functions & info from elevation, tree types, trails, private & public lines, all in all i like it &recommend. BUT,public/private lines not always accurate. called dnr to confirm area onx showed public &they said no,& this was a problem they got calls on from private land owners often cuz of onx. Also maps not updated (clearcuts not appearing). App glitches, closes when I delete 2 waypoints in a row,reopens at previous location.
5 ★It's pretty awesome. I use it constantly, even when not hunting, to see property lines. An amazing scouting and tracking tool. I do wish the tracker would follow me while my phone is in my pocket and I'm covering ground. I have gotten a ways along the trail or through the woods and all I get for a track is a straight line. Other times it has worked great, so I don't understand.
5 ★Update as of 11/5/23: The app performs exactly how I would expect it to. It's good to see that the developer listens to its users because the maps were updated finally. I changed my rating from 2* to 5* because of the fact it works and that the developers are actually willing to listen to the users. Great job. Overall a good app, however the maps are outdated (pre 2018 atleast). Hard to scout areas to hunt when there arent trees in areas where it shows trees on the app.
1 ★The premise of this app is solid. Download offline maps and know where land ownership changes. I like that but the product has a long way to go. The interface is not all that user friendly with way too many options that very few people would find useful. Most importantly, however, it doesn't allow downloaded maps to be transferred to external memory (i.e. an SD card). This means I was only able to store about three maps on my phone. This is a HUGE limitation I hope they fix soon. Could be a great product with some improvement.
