Официальное издание Национального общества детских гематологов и онкологов (НОДГО). Целью НОДГО является оптимизация методов лечения детей с гематологическими и онкологическими заболеваниями, формирование единого профессионального сообщества специалистов, оказывающих помощь детям с данной группой заболеваний, защита интересов врачей и пациентов на всех уровнях, формирование единого научного и информационного пространства для эффективной деятельности нашего сообщества, накопление знаний и опыта.РЖДГиО издается с 2014 года. В состав редколлегии помимо ведущих детских гематологов-онкологов из России, Японии, США и Германии. Журнал изначально задумывался как научно-практический, одинаково полезный и даже необходимый как для научного сотрудника, так и для практикующего врача. При создании нового журнала редколлегия учитывала опыт зарубежных изданий, в частности New England Journal of Medicine, которому более 200 лет.
Журнал состоит из нескольких разделов. В него включены рубрики, посвященные новым исследованиям, клиническим рекомендациям, интересным клиническим случаям, информации о мероприятиях в области детской гематологии-онкологии. Отдельно выделена рубрика, которая представляет международные кооперированные исследования.
