GPS To CSV Map is a data logging GPS application that can save GPS information from your phone to a CSV based file.As a note, the Maps API will not show your location at this time. With enough dedicated users this feature will be enabled to show GPS position in the app. The app still will log your location information in the CSV based file regardless of if your in map in the app is working.
This application is a great budget option for saving GPS data in any acquisition rate.
Please note that saving at high speed data acquisition rates will increase battery usage on your phone! Also note that saving at high speed may fill your hard drive space up fast so use caution when saving at high rates to make sure you don't overextend your phone hard drive or battery!
This application will allow the user to setup the data acquisition rate, save unique file names, and change the file format to TXT or CSV. These options are then confirmed and then location is enabled on the device. Once the setup is finished the application is ready to begin saving data.
The data is saved in a service, so other tasks on your phone may be run while saving the data. The saving process can be ended by pressing End Save in the app or by killing the app as well.
Depending on the phone up to 5ms logging speeds can be obtained. These speeds are not guaranteed to be 5ms apart. Also even at higher time periods, log speeds are not guaranteed to be the same delta time due to Android handling service and other background operations.
In order to access your data go to the folder below in your internal storage.
Android/data/rabatah.k.zachariah.gpstocsvmap/files/
This location should have any saved data from the app.
