Built on top of the popular QGIS open-source project, QField lets users consume fully configured projects in the field, allowing for customized feature forms, map themes, print layouts, and more, bringing the power of QGIS to your fingertips.
Leveraging open source libraries such as gdal, SQLite and PostGIS, QField reads, displays and allows editing of a wide variety of spatial vector and raster datasets. Users can view and modify datasets wherever they are, whether they have been downloaded onto your device, shared in emails or transferred via USB cable.
The supported formats include:
- QGIS project files (.qgs, .qgz, as well as geopackage-embedded projects);
- SQLite-based geopackage and spatialite databases;
- GeoJSON, KML, GPX, and shapefile vector datasets;
- GeoTIFF, GeoPDF, WEBP, and JPEG2000 raster datasets.

Download QField for QGIS APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files

Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

5 ★Very useful app for field data collection. I am very expectant for the cloud sync to be enabled to be able to update remotely and share the project to more users as data collectors and avoid the USB method of synchronisation.
5 ★This is perfect for field work! The data entry interface is really smooth. Even though i just started using this I think this has strong potential to surpass ESRI's Collector app.
5 ★There's a bit of a learning curve to get the concept of the connection between QGIS and Qfield. This is particularly so regarding the treatment of rasters. But once clear of the concept hurdles, the app is a highly beneficial bridge between desktop gis and the field.
4 ★Quite good compatability with QGis, but getting the Offline Editing option working is near impossible. I have my project path set to relative, yet Qfield insists on using the absolute file path. Only workaround is to use the Copy Editing function when packaging for Qfield. This is suboptimal if you are a team working together offline on the same dataset. I might set up a PostGIS database just to make it work.
3 ★Certainly it is invaluable geo-app. I think it would make QGIS become a more prominent OSGeo software out there. But I was quite disappointed to see that it could not even find and read spatial data (KML especially) within the phone. I don't know what is the reason behind this.
5 ★The latest version which is updated 8 hours ago is crashing on its opening. On the latest I did a fresh install and it's working. In the meantime I used development version. Software is very good and easy to use thanks for great job
5 ★Excellent for collecting data on the go. Easy to standardize inputs and teach people to use. Location accuracy is obviously dependent on you your device, but overall a very good app.
5 ★Best fielding application we've used in various mapping and geotagging activities. I hope you'll add the functionality of editing the layer properties of vector and raster layers. Keep it up!
3 ★It crashes every now and then. Not sure if it might have to do with my phone specs (Samsung A20s) or app problem?? But great app overall for field data collection and love the synchronization with QGIS which I commonly use
4 ★The app is great. Could ready better if it could display GPS accuracy before you pick a point. The cursor is a bit slow to move to my position (Not sure it's hardware related.
5 ★Helpful in GIS survey. Using on my Android 9.0 OS. Handles shapefiles, kml files and many more with basemap and project files exported with Qfielsync plugin for QGIS for PC. Somehow can't open export point, line and polygon in one qgis project file. Polygons open while line and point files don't. Please work on it.
5 ★Wonderful and unique application with swift development. I use it for a various projects with complex data structure. Sometimes problems emerge with a new update but are quickly resolved. Documentation gets behind development.
