It is based on a validated digits-in-noise technology. The app allows health workers to check and record people’s hearing scores. The scores can be shared with the individuals or their doctors. Those with low scores have to be referred for a proper hearing testing. If hearing loss is identified, the person should be referred to a specialist.
Identifying and addressing hearing loss early is essential to ensure that people do not suffer its adverse impact.
