5 ★I have been using the free version but it is amazing piece of software. Best for beginners cinematographers. I only wished if we could record Pro video in the free version.
1 ★Misleading and very unstable app! This app was hyped up by Matti Hapooja and I was impressed initially and bought a subscription to be able to use the color profiles option, which was the main attraction for me. But this app is so unstable, I record but then if it's a minute or longer it never saves and I can't stop recording. It just freezes and then I have to force stop it to find out nothing was recorded. not able to get my subscription money back either. Only the developer can issue a refund. UPDATE: Developer of Protake - Mobile Cinema Camera app is not responding at all for my refund request. I am not only one, the app just doesn't work for anyone. It was hyped by a famous personality on YouTube but it doesn't work. Although I have cancelled future renewals, I want to receive a refund for this year's value, even if it is prorated for the used period of few days that I have had this app. This purely a fraudulent app. I would also like it to be removed since so many people have already complained. It will not be possible to get the review video on YT to be removed, but at least the app can be taken down by Google.
1 ★Seems like there's an issue with this app and Sony phones. I have a Sony Xperia ☓ and the app won't work. It frequently shows an error message and says the camera will be reset. Also, while the app starts up, yes, but it won't show any picture. I can see the controls and even use them but there's no picture. Too bad, I was looking forward to try this one.
3 ★Everything is perfect But, I used the app and have read all the comments on this app. Apparently android users are having the same issue. I use a samsung S20 and the moment you go to change the fps on auto or pro mode, it doesn't work. This issue needs to be addressed as soon as possible for this particular app to be a success. This app has real potential among filmmakers and I love everything about except for that issue. Please look into it. Thank You

1 ★Well so far the app works great except I can't purchase the Pro version because the app won't let me due to a bug. I see a lot of users having problems with the app not working properly, it seems fine for me except all I can have is the free version because I can't upgrade. Not good, I guess protake doesn't want my money.
2 ★Ludicrous claims, but a decent camera app. LOG profile is nowhere close to Arri C, and applying a standard C to 709 lut in Resolve results in extremely high contrast and saturation. Footage from this app is soft and clips badly, while the lower bit rate footage with identical settings in the native LG app was recoverable and resulted in no clipping after grading. This app does have great meters (waveform, histogram, etc) but the resulting image quality is worse overall. Can't recommend it.
1 ★Absolutely disappointed! I was recommended by someone that the paid version is even better. I feel it was a complete waste and that I can't recommended it further. The app completely freezes the moment I start recording. It's horrible. I tried reaching out to their email but no response. Cancelled the membership ultimately.
5 ★Good app! I like that you can take more control over your camera eveb with the free version, that I am currently trying. I like the presets, that help you with different color corrections and the beauty option lets you really configure your face if that's what you are after. Till now it's a good app to shoot videos! 😊 I would have liked if I could have edited the videos too with this app.
1 ★Subscription model for an app that won't work. I am on Samsung M30. Can't set the shutter speed or ISO manually. Only new thing this app offers is waveform.Downloaded this after watching Matti Hapooja video. Filmic Pro is way better than this and it is just onetime payment. If you overlook outdated UI Open Camera is way better than this, it is free, open-source and it works. I wouldn't be this mad if this app is onetime purchase, how can you release an incomplete app and ask people to subscribe.
1 ★First of all I cannot record 60fps and I cannot select any color profile while using 120fps. All this was in auto. I tried paying for the app so I could use the flat color profile but when I tried paying for it, it redirects me to alipay and I can't understand anything. From reading these comments I think I'll stick to the unpaid version. Was so excited to see this app and it is such a disappointment. Filmic pro doesn't allow color profiles on my phone so I think I'll just use my native camera.
1 ★Doesn't work (locks and blocks whole mobile device), doesnt have any settings other then thise set by programmers, zebra has only 0 and 100%, cannot have zebras and peaking at the same time, cannot enlarge waveform... etc Unfortunately I couldn't test everything since my phone doesn't support cam 2 api and the record is locked untill you pay. It is a shame, since the app has so much potential. Even if you use it as a monitor device - waveform and false color are GREAT thing to have.
