Description
Mit dem Waldrandschlüssel können Waldränder draussen vor Ort elektronisch erfasst und beurteilt werden. Zur Ermittlung des ökologischen Werts eines Waldrands müssen verschiedene Eigenschaften des Waldrands gemessen, geschätzt oder gezählt werden. Zur Erfassung gehören folgende Parameter:- Waldrandtiefe
- Strauchgürteltiefe und -länge
- Krautsaumtiefe, -länge und -typ
- Belaubungsdichte
- Gehölzarten
- Botanische Vielfalt Waldbodenvegetation
- Verzahnungsgrad
- Kleinstrukturen und tote Bäume
- Länge vorgelagerter Strauchgürtel
- Ausdehnung und Anzahl Problemarten und invasive Neophyten
Nachdem die Parameter mit dem Waldrandschlüssel erfasst wurden, wird aufgrund der eingegebenen Daten automatisch eine Gesamtpunktzahl berechnet. Je höher diese Gesamtpunktzahl ausfällt, umso ökologisch wertvoller ist der untersuchte Waldrand. Für die einfache und schnelle Beurteilung im Feld wird der untersuchte Waldrand aufgrund der erreichten Gesamtpunktzahl einer entsprechenden Qualitätskategorie zugeteilt: "Waldrand nicht vorhanden", "Schlecht", "Ungenügend", "Befriedigend", "Wertvoll" oder "Sehr wertvoll".
Weitere Funktionen des Waldrandschlüssels:
- Untersuchte Waldränder werden automatisch abgespeichert und können jederzeit wieder aufgerufen werden.
- Zu jedem Waldrand können die Koordinaten ermittelt sowie ein Foto erstellt und zusammen mit dem untersuchten Waldrand abgespeichert werden.
- Das fehleranfällige und lästige Abtippen der der im Feld erhobenen Daten im Büro entfällt.
- Die Daten der untersuchten Waldränder (inkl. Foto) können direkt mit dem Waldrandschlüssel per E-Mail in den Formaten "jason" und "txt" versendet und anschliessend mit einem Tabellenkalkulationsprogramm weiter verarbeitet werden.
