Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★The new update allows me to list my sightings. Much better!
1 ★Paid for the pro and doesn't work trying to get refund
3 ★The idea is great - use your GPS to create a circle around you listing all the birds recently sighted. Provide a gallery to easily identify them. The problem is, it appears the images do not cache, or are not stored on your device. That means, they are constantly downloading as your gallery scrolls through a continuing slide show. WHAT THIS NEEDS: a way to permanently store the bird photos on your phone & maybe a way to select the ones you want to keep (or not). Also a way to easily contribute.
3 ★On initial download I was frustrated by lag in picture download. So uninstalled. But soon missed the ease of finding birds in MY area. So I have reinstalled. 2 things I really hope u are working on are: Ability for user to register own sightings and secondly the lag and maintaining of pics once loaded. For sure this app is 5 star potential and I will be keeping with the hopes that you are working on these items. Thanks for making it.
5 ★Great app now that version 1.5.6? Has yet to crash. Have used it for over 15 minutes without a crash. Thanks for the fix. The best of 4 bird apps I use, by far. GPS is very useful!
5 ★I love this app, it's very useful for quickly identifying birds I am seeing or hearing in the area. My only issue with it is there are pictures for the birds (I think user-uploaded) that are offensive and insensitive, for example the pic for the mourning dove is two hunters shooting, and the house sparrow is a cat with a dead sparrow. There is no way to report these pics, change them, or rate them down. They need a way to get rid of them when people are being jerks. Otherwise, it works great.
2 ★It has a great and easy layout with lots of birds but when I try and change sounds or exit the app the sounds keep playing. Very annoying. I don't feel like restarting my phone every time I use it just to stop the sounds cause that's the only way. Which is why I'm uninstalling. Sorry. If fixed I will reinstall.
4 ★I really love the idea of this app! The laggyness of the pictures of the birds is pretty frustrating, but a little refreshment on remembering taxonomy would help! But for that to be fixed would be greatly appreciated. Also I think for the app to save your location would be useful too. But either way this app is still very useful!
4 ★Good app. Still haven't figured it all out yet, but I do enjoy the app.can't figure out how to tag a bird yet. Just spotted a bald eagle in Davis ok. but can't update
3 ★Good concept but needs some work. The images take a long time to load (which is OK for an initial download) and then they disappear and reappear when scrolling.
5 ★I love the ap! My only suggestion would be to have some way to register our own sightings, especially if it is something unusual. Where does the information come from?
5 ★great app. too bad it can't pic up a birdsong and recognize it. also some birds don't have their song. but really good job. very informative.
