Description
ecofit aims to increase physical activity levels and improve health through the use of local parks and facilities. ecofit has proven to be very successful in a recent smaller trial.This project will investigate the effectiveness of ecofit for the whole community across Lake Macquarie and Newcastle. The findings will help in future design of services provided by local councils.
The project is in partnership with Lake Macquarie City Council and Newcastle City Council.
Part of the research is to examine the added benefit that having access to the ecofit app has on the level of activity people engage in.
