Description
Voor de verkeersaansluiting A2 – N230 is een voorkeursvariant ontworpen om de doorstroming en verkeersveiligheid te verbeteren. De voorkeursvariant is de Divergerende Diamant (Divergent Diamond Intersection ofwel DDI).De DDI is een aansluiting waarbij het verkeer kortstondig naar de andere weghelft wordt geleid. Dit reduceert het aantal passages door verkeerslichten bij aansluitingen naar autosnelwegen tot één, in plaats van twee. Het concept wordt voornamelijk in de Verenigde Staten toegepast, maar ook in Europa worden ze zeer sporadisch gebruikt.
De DDI is in Nederland nog een nieuwe concept en zodoende is er door Letink Design in opdracht van de Provincie Utrecht een visualisatie gemaakt.
In deze applicatie treft u een Augmented Reality en Virtual Reality weergave van de DDI. Download en print de in de applicatie beschikbare AR-marker en leg deze neer. Als u de AR optie kiest en het begin scherm en uw telefoon er op richt is de DDI zichtbaar.
Vanuit de AR kan je de verkeersstromen visualiseren, extra informatie bekijken, inzoomen en overschakelen naar 360 graden Virtual Reality kijkpunten. Voor de Virtual Reality weergave kunt u in het volledig scherm swipen om ronde te kijken of gebuik optioneel een VR-bril.
