The app uses Bluetooth signal to communicate with the Sofabaton remote control, giving access to the full database of IR code for home entertainment devices, such as TV's, SoundBar's, DVD's, etc. Devices can be set up by searching online IR code database or directly learning from original physical remotes. 1 ★The U1 hardware is solid and great, but the App is nightmarishly bad. It loses settings/saved data in the app constantly, often mid-use. It also really bungles the Macros, the thing that if it worked properly would elevate this above a normal universal remote. This last could also be an issue with the firmware on the U1 as well (but I know I'm on the latest). The short version is... the timing of the commands/number of emulated keypresses from it are definitely off in any macro I build.

1 ★I was really interested in this device but the product page offered little. A link to a users manual would have really helped. I installed the app to verify if it would work with my sound bar but it crashed each time I tried to use it. Many reviewers state the same problem. I then purchased something not as capable for 1/2 the price. Too bad for you, non functioning app costing you sales. One star is to many with this experience. No faith in the product after this.
