PUST-appen är framtagen av enheterna Fysioterapi barn och Barnfysiologen vid Drottning Silvias barn- och ungdomssjukhus i Göteborg, en del av Västra Götalandsregionen. Här hittar du råd och instruktioner om andningstekniker som kan användas för att minska andningssvårigheter som uppkommer i samband med fysisk ansträngning. Dessa har utarbetats i ett samarbete mellan enheterna och ges idag till barn och ungdomar med ansträngningsutlösta andningssvårigheter i samband med att lungfunktionsutredning med ansträngningsprovokation genomförs.Råden illustreras av texter och kortare videosekvenser som ligger i appen. Appen kan därför ta lite tid att ladda ner, men sedan har du alltid råden med dig i fickan.
Genom att du lär dig olika andningstekniker och i vila tränar dessa, finns möjlighet att dina andningssvårigheter i samband med fysisk aktivitet kan minska. För att ha bättre nytta av övningarna och förstå hur de kan hjälpa dig, finns en kort informationsdel om hur luftvägarna ser ut och fungerar. I appen finns även en dagboksfunktion, där du kan gradera dina andningssvårigheter och få en uppfattning om hur besvären varierar över tid.
