Dear colleaguesFrom March 27th to 30th, 2019 the 18th Congress of our Academy will be held in Foz do Iguaçu. "Neurosurgery: next steps" was the chosen theme because we intend to organize an innovative scientific event that should open new perspectives and improvement of knowledge for young colleagues starting their careers and also for the most experienced ones.
Several leading neurosurgeons from USA, Canada and Europe have accepted our invitation to come to our congress. It is our intention to promote a broad integration with neurosurgical colleagues from several Latin America countries. The Argentine and the Colombian Association of Neurosurgery, as well as the Chilean Society of Neurosurgery will organize "joint meetings" with our Academy.
Neurosurgeons from other neighboring countries will also have the opportunity to exchange their experiences with us. March in Foz do Iguaçu is extremely delightful and we are preparing for the participants and their family many options to enjoy this unique region.
Save this date, bring your family and be prepared to participate actively in the scientific program and activities in the fabulous nature and attractions of Foz do Iguaçu.

O XVIII Congresso da Academia Brasileira de Neurocirurgia (ABNc) será realizado de 27 a 30 de março de 2019 em Foz do Iguaçu. O tema escolhido para nosso congresso foi Neurocirurgia: próximos passos. Nossa intenção é a de organizar um evento científico inovativo que abra novas perspectivas e amplie os conhecimentos tanto dos colegas mais jovens como dos mais experientes. Neurocirurgiões norte-americanos, canadenses e europeus muito experientes em suas áreas de atuação aceitaram o nosso convite e virão contribuir com o sucesso científico do nosso congresso.
Um dos objetivos do nosso evento é o de promover uma grande integração com colegas de vários países latino-americanos. Para este fim, organizaremos "joint meetings" com a Associação Argentina de Neurocirurgia, a Associação Colombiana de Neurocirurgia e com a Sociedade de Neurocirurgia do Chile.
Foz do Iguaçu em março é muito agradável, com temperaturas mais amenas oferecendo uma excelente oportunidade para aproveitar todas as atrações da região. Além de um programa científico de alto nível, estamos preparando um programa social especial para os participantes e suas famílias.
