Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Great easy to use
5 ★All in one, great app!
4 ★Great app overall, can use a feature to attatch a photo to a dive though. The feature for finding a dive site is also glitchy and it often jumps one page back when you are doing the courses in the app.
1 ★The dive log part of the app, when trying to enter a private site will not let me enter coordinates. If I try to delete the existing co-ordinate, it will only let me delete so much and then jumps to the front of the coordinate, once I do mange to enter the coordinates, the app then changed it. Unless the site is in the SSI data base, or you don't care about it's coordinates, essentially, you can not add it. And reading some of the other posts in here, as a dive log it is broken.
1 ★The digital log book has so many bugs! The "map" feature to plot the locations of all your dives would be really handy, but unfortunately it does not keep the dives site locations once you put them in, they get jumbled up into random locations. There is no support to upload dive photos etc... Dives aren't even arranged in a logical order (dive 4, dive 1, dive 7 etc...) This is poor!
2 ★Lost all but 3 of my verified and synced dives. Incorrect amount of dives recorded, regardless of editing it on the website (I made one in error, deleted it and it is still counting it towards my total.) Dives that were verified by my instructor didn't appear correctly on the app or the website. Overall, difficult to use. I am just going to use my physical log book.
3 ★I wish the app had all the same info to fill out as the SSI paper dive log. Especially weight you used & if you need to try more/less. Would also like to see all the dive information with 1 click, instead of 2 for the details, where you can no longer see depth & time. Like the list of wildlife to record what you saw. Would be nice to have ID photos, or way to post your own photo. Built in dive table calcs would be nice too. Perfect app would sync with all dive computers.
3 ★Training courses randomly offer to download videos, have to try four or five times before can download. Some courses have missing content, I.e. Recreational Sidemount has no review questions. Dive log is completely unstable. both my wife and I are having endless battles with the dive log. On my wife' she gained a buddy from my list. On both it randomly adds buddies to dives that weren't on the dive. The locations of multiple dives have changed after they have been verified.
2 ★It rotates the screen, however I disabled this feature in OS level. Always reloads the content that I reading, and jumps back to the beginning of the chapter. Very annoying. The UI is horrible, its build is absolutely illogical. Lot of bugs! This app was not tested for functionality before release. Almost useless.
1 ★I don't know how SSI does it, but they seem to make a worse app with every version they publish. I don't know where to begin with the latest, but just open it up for yourself and you will notice: the layout in itself deserves 1 star. Functionality is worse, and the log book is a joke. Good thing I only occasionally use the app for retrieving my SSI number.
1 ★Actually think SSI is an outstanding organisation for what they are doing, but this app, well unless it improves significantly stick to a book for your logs. the log feature should be removed if you cant make it work properly. it is hard to use and adding sites, well, just forget it unless you want to take 20 minutes trying to move the map about. sorry guys but the app is useless for anything else than the training and cards... at least better than padi....
3 ★Good for offline material. But today I was shocked to discover it performs daily synchronization and fetches tens of MB without the any notification or explicit request. In last 6 days it downloaded 152MB over mobile data & 36MB over wifi?! I haven't opened it in last 3 weeks or even logged last month. I find in settings a long list of synchronization tasks that run & can't be deleted or stopped. I had to restrict background data to prevent its activity. I am in roaming and this hits me hard!
