Description
Cada día mueren niños con edades que no superan el año de edad y madres en estado de embarazo o durante el parto en áreas remotas del país (Comarcas Indígenas).La comunicación verbal de los médicos que atienden dichas zonas es basada en su totalidad por traductores, lo que evita la comunicación directa entre el médico y el paciente.
Hemos desarrollado la app Glind (Glosario de Salud el Lenguas Indígenas) para servir de intermediario de comunicación para los médicos no nativos ubicados en las diferentes áreas indígenas, les sirve para aprender y comunicarse de forma directa en el idioma nativo.
Glind es un glosario que cuenta con 200 frases comunes y terminologías médicas, que a su vez se divide en diferentes secciones como los son (Saludos-Recibimientos-Relaciones, Peticiones para exámenes, procedimientos médicos, historia clínica, medicina general, medicina tradicional y recomendaciones generales). Cada frase cuenta con su escritura en español y traducción al idioma nativo de la región, a su vez de audios en ambos idiomas e imágenes alusivas a las mismas, tiene un diseño basado en Diseño centrado en usuario el cual hace posible que tenga una interfaz muy sencilla y fácil de entender para cualquier tipo de usuario.
Glind cuenta con los siguientes idiomas: Guna, Ngäbe y Emberá .
El mismo idioma indígena puede variar dependiendo de la región.
Concebido por estudiantes de la Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá junto a otras organizaciones.
