مجموعه ای بی نظیر از سخنان ناب علی شریعتیعلی شریعتی مَزینانی، مشهور به دکتر علی شریعتی (زادهٔ ۲ آذر ۱۳۱۲ در روستای کاهک، سبزوار – درگذشتهٔ ۲۹ خرداد ۱۳۵۶ در ساوت‌همپتون، انگلیس) نویسنده و جامعه‌شناس،پژوهشگر دینی اهل ایران، از مبارزان و فعالان مذهبی و سیاسی و از نظریه‌پردازان انقلاب اسلامی ایران بود. شریعتی نگرشی نوین به تاریخ و جامعه‌شناسی اسلام عرضه کرد. او بازگشت به تشیع حقیقی و انقلابی را نیرویی برای تحقق عدالت اجتماعی قلمداد می‌کرد. شریعتی، علاوه بر شهرت زیادش برای سهم داشتن در انقلاب ایران، به‌دلیل کارنامهٔ فعالیت‌هایش برای احیای مذهب و سنت در جامعه و بیدارگری دربارهٔ سلطنت وقت نیز شهرت داشته‌است. از زمان انقلاب تاکنون یادبودهای زیادی به یاد او برگزار و اجرا کرده‌اند؛ و از آن زمان نقدها و تجلیل‌های زیادی پیرامون آثار، آراء و تأثیراتی که او بر چند دههٔ معاصر ایران گذاشته وجود دارد.
او در ۴۴سالگی در انگلستان درگذشت و هم‌اکنون پیکر وی در مکانی نزدیک مقبرهٔ زینب کبری در دمشق سوریه به امانت سپرده شده‌است.
شریعتی آثار عمده‌ای در زمینه اسلام‌شناسی و شیعه‌شناسی دارد. اکثر کتاب‌های شریعتی جمع‌آوری سخنرانی‌های تحریریافته او در حسینیه ارشاد، دانشگاه‌ها، یا مجموعه‌ای از مقالات و نوشته‌های پراکنده او هستند که توسط مرکز نشر آثار دکتر شریعتی به صورت مجموعه آثار در سی و شش جلد پس از مرگ وی به چاپ رسیده‌است.
