1 ★This new update sucks, it won't connect to my phone now at all. The old app worked just fine. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Update, installed latest update and this app still sucks. Will not connect to my phone at all, keeps saying oops, something went wrong. Please delete these updates and give us back the old version that worked just fine. Makes me want to completely return this stupid thing.
4 ★App was updated and is working far better than before! Still doesn't connect right away, have to reboot the app once. But after reboot can't complain, it's great😊 Since the update this app has been awful and doesn't work at all no matter what I do to try and fix it. The error message pops up for everything "ops something went wrong". Hoping this gets fixed soon, it renders this product useless to me as I bought it for the sole reason that you can control it via the app.
1 ★The update has made the app useless. It worked ok beforehand, but since the update, it can't connect to my device, every time I try to update my child's name it crashes, and it has become utterly unusable. If it wasn't for the touch controls on the unit itself, I would have returned this. Bluetooth connectivity was my main reason for purchasing this over the competitors. Now I'm regretting it.
1 ★I like the idea of the sleep stages, but the way it is setup in the app is awful. Once you start it for the night, you cannot make any changes without having to exit the sleep stages. So if baby wakes up and I want to increase the sound of the white noise, I can't. Also, sometimes my presets for the sleep stages revert to the original settings and to make the changes you again have to exit the sleep stages. But you dont know it's the wrong sounds/colors/lights until you have started. So dumb.
1 ★It is such a great idea but often doesn't work efficiently. Unfortunately I often have difficulty connecting to the device even when I'm standing next to the soother. There will be times I attempt to use the app to turn the soother on (while it's off) and the app won't connect saying the device is (in use). Each time I'm actually able to control the device, if I leave the room the device disconnects and won't allow me to reconnect and change any settings. I really wish it would work properly.
1 ★Edit 3/4/2020: Another app update has made this app even worse. Used to love this app. I used it for our deluxe soother. We use the sleep stages for naptime and bedtime. I used to turn off all lights on it since my daughter doesn't like them. However, now I can't turn off the lights without exiting sleep stages thanks to the new update. Routine is extremely important, and now my daughter's routine is messed up. If this feature is added back, I would be more than happy to update my review.
1 ★App crashed on a regular basis. Recently it signed me out without warning, would not let me sign back in so I had to create a new account. Now the whole interface is different (much less user friendly) and no matter what I do I cannot customize the music settings. It will still play songs I have unselected. Very frustrating as certain songs wake my child up! Very unhappy with this "update".
3 ★I'm giving this 3 stars bc my 8 month old son loves to watch the animations/music on the go. That is the sole purpose of our use of the app. However, the app does not function correctly. Everytime I use the music/animation on the go I have to restart my phone in order to shut off the music. Even if I close the app and it is no longer on my screen the music still plays in the background & restarting my phone is the only way to shut the music off. annoying.
1 ★Edit : This new version is terrible. The old one was so much easier to use. 05/2019: Stopped working today. It has been working great for 6 months but not anymore! Every time I try to open it a white box pops up saying it has stopped and I can choose either close app, force stop or send feedback. The first 2 options do nothing. I tried restarting my phone and uninstalling/reinstalling to no avail. My smart soother sucks now that I can't turn it on/off without going into baby's room...
3 ★The old app was great, worked fine. But since the new update and changes made to the app, it works awful. I am constantly having to pair with it all over again. Which means walking back into the room of the toddler I just put down for a nap. I know it's the app since we had no problems until everything changed. Really don't like the new set up. I hope the bugs get ironed out soon.
1 ★Discontinued support for the rock and play. While I understand that it was recalled, my daughter no longer uses it to rock. We instead used it for the white noise because she was used to the tone of that one. By pulling support for it off the app I can no longer use the rock and play for any longer than 30 minutes before it turns the sound off. What an absolutely stupid move, I hope I can get a refund for the product that you just deprecated.
1 ★I really can't explain how much of a mistake this update was. You make me sign up for a mattel account, you make me pair my machine again, you completely change all settings and ruined the app, it crashes constantly, and no longer has the same volume settings (does not even come close to the sound of a shower for basic pink noise). I could go on and on about how badly you messed up, but from what I have read, other owners have touched on any issues I haven't.
