CALCUL NNT est une application réservée aux professionnels de santé. Elle permet, sur la base de données publiées dans la littérature, d’évaluer la quantité d’effet d’un traitement en neurologie grâce au calcul du NNT (Nombre de patients Nécessaires à Traiter).Le NNT est un indicateur de l’effet traitement : plus le nombre de sujets à traiter avec le traitement est faible pour éviter un évènement, meilleure est son efficacité.
Principales fonctionnalités :
A partir d’un taux d’évènement renseigné dans le groupe placebo et dans le groupe traité, l'application permet pour 5 pathologies (SEP, Epilepsie, Alzheimer, Parkinson et SLA), de calculer :
• la réduction du risque relatif,
• la réduction du risque absolu,
• le NNT
Cette application ne constituant qu’un outil d’aide dans l’exercice de la pratique médicale, les professionnels de santé ne peuvent et ne doivent pas se baser uniquement sur cette application pour faire le choix d’un traitement.
