Description

TeslaUnread provides unread count badges for Nova Launcher Prime and WidgetLocker. It will not work with other desktops or lockscreens.

Unread counts are natively supported for the most popular chat and email apps, such as Hangouts, Whatsapp and all the apps shown in the screenshot.
Additionally on Android 4.3+ TeslaUnread can watch the notification bar to extract unread counts from virtually any app.

Enable TeslaUnread in Nova Launcher or WidgetLocker Settings > Unread Counts, here you may also customize the style of the badge, such as the size and colors.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★I recently upgraded my Samsung S8+ to Oreo, now Gmail notification badges never clear or irregularly update. A recent update to the app hasn't fixed this yet, but Google appears to have baked a different way of handling notifications for Oreo inside of Gmail. I'm confident this will work itself out with enough time. Update: a recent update seems to have corrected the issue. Great work!
4 ★So overall this app works fine, but lately it's been incredibly buggy. Recently the issue was Gmail. It either had a phantom notification that wouldn't go away, or it wouldn't show any notifications at all. That seems to have resolved itself. However, presently Twitter will always say I have 20 notifications. Which I don't. When it says 20, I have none. But if it says 23, for example, there are 3. Idk why the default is 20, but it's very aggravating. Especially for someone who likes to get everything read on her phone and clear notification badges. :/
5 ★Updated 28-03-18. Used to be a 5* essential but now doesn't work. Updates GMail count on reboot but at no other time. Come on Devs, I've been using your app and Nova for years, what's happened? Update: now fixed and working well. Not sure how they dropped the ball on this one as the app does have only one job, but glad it's now ok.
3 ★newest version fixed the bug from the last but it's a little lagging updating, at least the Gmail app. it'll still show a badge after all new messages are read and deleted.
2 ★Issues with badges in Gmail not working has been fixed in the latest update. Rating changed accordingly
5 ★One of the most useful apps on Android and the developers are very responsive when there are problems! Thank you so much for fixing your app!
3 ★Great when it does work. The thing is, it only works on some applications on my phone: my main messaging app, Facebook, and Messenger.
3 ★Slightly better after last update - still sluggish on GMail. Paid for Nova Launcher Prime - expect better!
1 ★A lot better with latest update especially Gmail. Just needs to clear notification quicker for read messages.
2 ★New update does not solve gmail count properly.. 😞
2 ★Still doesnt work properly for gmail. It updates the badge on new messages but doesnt clear it on read
3 ★Ever since the new Android OS update, the count stopped working for my messages, messengers and possibly others. been almost a week now with no fix. Highly annoying
