You will need a compatible launcher that supports custom icon packs. Compatible with Apex Launcher, Nova Launcher, ADW Launcher, and Holo Launcher. Note that this is not a standalone app.

*To use this icon pack:*
First install Apex / Nova / ADW / Holo Launcher (all free from the Play Store).
Then proceed to download and install this icon pack.
Find Simply 8-Bit in the launcher's theme settings, then click apply.
Manual selection of icons / Icon picker is only supported on Apex and Nova.

To apply custom icons (Mario, Adventure Time, Star Wars, Avengers, etc)
Apex Launcher and Nova Launcher Prime: Long press and release icon shortcut that is already placed on homescreen > Press Edit > Press on the app icon > Select (from) Icon Pack > Select Simply 8-Bit > Choose the icon you want.
Desktop Visualizer: at the DVR setup screen > Press Select Icon > Select Others > Select Simply 8-Bit > Choose the icon. (Custom icons are located at the end of the list)

How to install Simply 8-Bit Icon Pack APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download Simply 8-Bit Icon Pack APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files

5 ★The description lists that you will need a custom launcher to use it, you do not simply download the app and launch it. You can open the launcher settings (Nova for example) and select the icon pack from there, then depending on your launcher, there is a way to edit the icon to a rather large list of 8-bit icons. Plenty to choose from for free and they look great.
5 ★This app doesn't deserve the low ratings, it's amazing and gives my devicea retro feel! Add a Metroid wallpaper and your good to go! The onlycomplaint I have is that there is no Metroid style icons but it's stillawesome
3 ★Why don't you group all the icons together from similar sources like yoursecond picture shows, but since we can't get to that screen just the onreally really long one with all the icon. It would be nice if all the megaman or Mario or Zelda icons were all grouped together before you moved ontoo the next icon. Otherwise hunt and pec is a waste of time to set up allthe icons.

5 ★I feel sorry for the people giving this 1 star because they don't know how to use it. You're supposed to pair this app with a custom launcher or an icon changer app. I use an icon changer, and it lets me select all the pixel icons within this app from the icon changer app. If you open the app *BY ITSELF* it will not show anything. It doesn't mean it doesn't work!
5 ★Would it be possible to have a search bar? Like, if I wanted the Whatsapp icon I'd just type "whatsapp" and it would filter the icon list. Just a suggestion, loved the app, keep it awesome.
5 ★GREAT APP! Works well with Nova Launcher! People who say it doesn't work don't know how to customize their phones. Awesome! I'm excited to use these icon for the future!
