Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Great App. One of my fav for making sure I know what's running when and what's backdooring in the background as well as taking up resources behind the scenes. Kill em all. Then it doesn't matter lol. It even makes sure the processes stay closed if possible by using special permission you have to give the App in Accessibility in Settings. It allows it to control what's going on as well as see the windows information. Only for Apps obviously that are to be trusted. This seems to be one of them ;)
4 ★I bought the pro version, which is extremely rare for me, so that's a strong endorsement. There is room for improvement. There is a (small) learning curve, the documentation is a little incomplete, and it has some "idiosyncrasies." Therefore, four stars. BUT, the most important thing: it works. For reasons I don't understand, other apps, even apps with zillions of downloads, could not kill anything. This app, however, kills almost everything and tells you if it couldn't kill something.
1 ★Wow - Saved 2meg. Set it up to kill all, but excluded the main apps, like email, texting, paypal, venmo, nova launcher. Then ran it. Appeared to be killing all these apps I had once opened during the last week. Bad part, takes it some time to do. When it was finished I looked to see what the free memory was. A big 2 meg more. Rebooted the phone. Took less time and now saved over 300meg. Still setting my phone to reboot once a week seems like the best. App has a good look. No dice for me.
1 ★The latest version works fine for a bit and then it stops closing apps even though it says that it has. There is a bug that after closing apps it brings up the app info screen for the last app it closed. Also after a few days when long pressing the icon the option to close apps had vanished. I uninstalled reinstalled and the same problems persisted so I rolled back to a previous version which works perfectly I feel these problems are caused by the app being optimized for Android 13
5 ★I like the app. I believe it's worth going premium to be able to close the system apps also. This app improves battery life, which is nice. The secret to the app is making sure you use the exception listing. You want to close everything except essential apps. An example would be the system app that monitors and controls charging of the battery, if it is shut down your battery will act erratically. Battery may discharge quicker and it may extend charging time. Prior to install research ! Enjoy
1 ★This app requires the accessibility service permission in order to be able to close other apps. This is a big No. An Accessibility Service lets an application simulate touch and read the content of the screen. Read again. Enabling an accessibility service is like giving your phone to somebody else. In fact, this is how almost all non 0-day malwares work on Android. Every single malware starts by pressuring the user into enabling its accessibility service, then uses it to steal passwords,
5 ★I'm a novice at app killing. Understood the concept but thought the only way to do it would be using an app that was so confusing and detailed that I'd never be able to figure out how to do it. Downloaded free version. It was so simple i couldn't believe. Easy to understand and easy to do. Just took a leap of faith buying the pro, assuming all the system app killing would be way to confusing and I'd wind up bricking my phone somehow. Good grief, The system app killer is just as easy.
5 ★I 💕 this app my friends, seriously, just conducted a factory reset etc recently and still routinely see number of running apps as high as 65 or more while I'm doing nothing. maybe searching the web. it's nice to have the control to shut off everything thus requiring everthing to shut down. if it's needed you'll notice in short order there by... take control it really helps. no need to be an expert to simply use to clear memory
5 ★Finally an app that kills other apps and they don't come back to life instantly!! This is great. Makes my razer game phone fast again! Android OS has such a terrible policy of letting every last app on your phone terminate and stay resident in memory so they appear to load quickly, but seriously, who got RAM for that? 8G and this phone works well but not when 200 apps are casually hanging out in background. Now!
1 ★Have to buy the pro edition to be able to close system apps. Which, let's be real, is why we all downloaded it in the first place. Just be a paid app or make that clear. Classic bait and switch marketing tactics. Upon typing this out, you go from 3 stars to 1, simply for the insult to the knowledgeable and for preying upon the less knowledgeable. Edit: And it does not even work as intended. Maybe that comes with buying pro, too. You truly are bottom barrell.
1 ★Pointless app, basically an interactive advertising tool. It pretends to close apps and acts like it's freed up memory but you can check settings and find none of the apps have been force stopped. After the 3rd time you run the program a pop up informs you that your memory if full and you "need" a product. 100% unrecommended
5 ★This is definitely one of the best apps available for putting apps into sleep and hibernation. It is simple and straightforward yet fully customizable and Powerful. In the pro version, you can add as many user apps and system apps as you want to, regarding which apps will be automatically closed once you press the start button.
