Героический эпос «Джангар» складывался на протяжении многих веков. О дате создания эпоса мнения ученых разошлись. Некоторые исследователи относят её к XIII—XIV векам. Другая группа ученых считают, что эпос был создан в XVII—XVIII веках. История изучения эпоса насчитывает 200 лет.

«Джангар» (калм. Җаңhр) — калмыцкий фольклор, эпическое повествование о стране счастья и благоденствия Бумбе и подвигах её богатырей. Проникнутый духом героизма и патриотизма, эпос по своим художественным достоинствам относится к лучшим образцам устно-поэтического творчества. «Джангар» и исполнявшие его рапсоды — джангарчи пользовались огромной любовью и уважением в народе. Эпос является не сказочно-богатырским, а историко-героическим.

1 ★The developer's response is unbelievably stupid. Period. What do you mean "this text is written in Russian Cyrillic"? I was talking exactly about your "Russian Cyrillic" text. You simply scanned a printed book and did nothing creative. The page size of the original book was already so big, letters were small, yet you did nothing to improve the legibility digitally. Nothing! Point is not what text it's in. Whatever text it's in, it's hard to read and you did nothing more than simply scanning and putting up the pictures. "Read by residents of Russia"? Can you even listen to yourself saying that and imagine asking yourself what you're even talking about? Yes, the idea was good but you wasted it and came up with something that's utterly useless. It's all your fault but not of whatever texts or who can or cannot read it.
