Bicibox és un servei de l’Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB) que gestiona una xarxa d’aparcaments segurs per a bicicletes particulars i una flota de bicicletes elèctriques d’ús compartit. Tant la xarxa d’aparcaments com la flota de bicicletes, es troben distribuïdes pels diferents municipis de l’AMB per tal que qualsevol ciutadà en pugui fer-ne ús un cop registrat com a usuari a www.bicibox.cat.El servei Bicibox comprèn dues modalitats:
• Abonament Bicibox: permet disposar d’una plaça d’aparcament segur per a una bicicleta particular, tantes vegades com es vulgui (s’apliquen limitacions horàries) als municipis metropolitans on el servei està implantat.
• Abonament e-Bicibox: permet disposar d’una bicicleta elèctrica compartida per fer un desplaçament dins d’un municipi o entre municipis metropolitans on el servei estigui implantat. S’apliquen limitacions horàries i tarifes per ús.
Els principals objectius del servei Bicibox són fomentar l’ús de la bicicleta (particular o compartida) com a mitjà per a una mobilitat quotidiana sostenible, que complementi els desplaçaments a peu i els serveis de transport públic metropolitans.
