Spirit Yoga wurde im Jahr 2004 von Patricia Thielemann und ihrem Ehemann Brian Kapell in Berlin gegründet.Mit Spirit Yoga schuf Patricia Thielemann nicht nur die schönsten Yogastudios der Stadt, sondern entwickelte auch ihren eigenen Yoga Stil. Spirit Yoga vermittelt die alte Tradition des Yoga auf lebensnahe, freigeistige und lebendige Art an moderne Menschen von heute. Transformierend, heilsam, herausfordernd und meditativ zugleich, schlägt dieser vom Power Vinyasa Flow geprägte Stil eine Brücke zwischen den traditionellen und den westlich beeinflussten Yoga Stilen.
Die Körperübungen fließen ineinander und sind mit einer kraftvollen, tiefen Atmung verbunden.
Kennzeichnend für den Spirit Yoga Stil sind seine Dynamik und Präzision.
So bietet Spirit Yoga die Möglichkeit, den Herausforderungen des Alltags gezielt einen Gegenpol zu setzen. Yoga wird zu einer Kraftquelle, die jederzeit zur Verfügung steht, für Inspiration sorgt und neue Energie spendet.
Spirit Yoga ist für jeden geeignet und kann unabhängig von Alter und Vorkenntnissen erlernt und praktiziert werden. Die einzige Voraussetzung ist die Bereitschaft, etwas Gutes für sich zu tun und das Bedürfnis, Körper, Geist und Seele in Einklang zu bringen.
Derzeit ist Spirit Yoga mit zwei Studios in Berlin-Mitte und Charlottenburg vertreten. Das reguläre Kursangebot umfasst rund 100 Yoga- und Pilateskurse pro Woche (deutsch und englisch). Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt ist das umfassende Kursangebot für Schwangere und junge Mütter.
Eine Vielzahl von Yoga-Workshops und –Retreats und Ausbildungen ergänzen das Kursangebot.
Neben den „Sunday Intensives", einer Workshopreihe von und mit Spirit Yoga Lehrern, die Themen rund ums Yoga aufgreifen, sind in den Spirit Yoga Studios die großen, internationalen Yoga-Meister regelmäßig zu Gast. Ob Bryan Kest, Ana Forrest, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa oder Seane Corn – es ist uns wichtig, die verschiedenen Einflüsse und Inspirationen dieser besonderen Lehrer weiterzugeben.
Darüber hinaus bietet Patricia Thielemann Wellness-Yogareisen an. Die Retreats führen zu den schönsten Plätzen der Welt, an denen jeder sich ganz auf seine Yogapraxis und das innerste Selbst einlassen kann, um dann gestärkt ins Licht zu treten.
Inzwischen ist Spirit Yoga zu einer der größten und erfolgreichsten Yoga-Schulen Europas mit mehr als 1.500 Kunden pro Woche gewachsen.
