Word-building meets deck-building in the unique game Paperback. Players start with a deck of letter cards and wild cards. This is like their own bag of ‘scrabble’ tiles. With each hand of cards you make a word and score it. This score is how much money you have to purchase more cards for your deck. Collect cool letters with abilities, such as drawing more cards or double word score. Buy Novel cards to gain ‘fame’ points to win the game!

Here's what people have said about the hit boardgame that is in it's fifth print run:

"It seems impossible that this game didn't exist before 2014. So simple and so much fun to play!"
- Crystal Pisano

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Decent enough recreation of the physical version. The original is a phenomenal game, but the app can do with some work. AI is way too easy, so there's not much of a challenge there, and online is serviceable, but suffers from some odd game design choices, such as locking you out of the game while you wait for the other person. Graphically, the game is nice and retains the art style of the physical version, but it definitely feels like a print designer has done the design here as it is not very mobile friendly. Font and layout choices don't translate well to the small screen, so a number of adjustments should be made there. Besides this, it would be nice to have a clearer overview of things at all times. Also missing are the standard expansions, which I feel are actually not expansions, just part of the main game that you work your way towards while learning it - these should definitely be part of it. At this stage, even though a little bit of fun can be had with it, I don't feel it is worth the money.
5 ★Finally working multiplayer. Only thing that sucks (devs hope you arereading this), is you need to keep typing email and password for online. How about a "remember me" option? And when will we see the expansion?
2 ★I love the game on my iPad but on my s9+ the game is all washed out with purple!! It's hard to see the cards. I've tried changing all kinds of display settings but it won't go away during gameplay
4 ★Rating this a 4 despite one technical problem. I really like the game and the app seems well designed. But... the game has a habit of crashing, with random parts of the screen flashing and the game either not responding to taps (and if it does respond, I can't see the results). I can sometimes recover by switching to the "choose-which-app-to-switch-to" Android view and then switching straight back to the game, but most often I have to close the game and restart. As a result, I'm reluctant to take part in online multiplayer because I suspect that would be tedious for the other players. So I'm stuck with the not-very-good AI, which I always beat.
3 ★Fun enough, love the mechanics of the strategy for the game. AI can often take 30-45 seconds to play, and the scoring for money doesn't always add up correctly. Would be great if polished up a little.
1 ★Sadly, the app is borderline unplayable now. Used to love it, but it has this extremely blue tint on the game, which strains and hurts your eyes, and makes it difficult to play
4 ★Very fun game but glitchy on android. It would be nice to see a log of pastgames to see how much you win/lose and some stats. It would also be nice tobe able to return to ended games to review plays.
4 ★Love this game, though I miss the attacks from the tabletop version. Lately the app crashes anytime I try to open it; please look into it.
4 ★Great game but the app doesn't feel fully developed. Are there any plans toadd player stats and rankings? That would be a big plus in my book (like myplay on words?).
2 ★Battery bugs. On my Pixel 2, Paperback consumes ~18% of battery in 10 minutes. Must fix in order to be playable.
4 ★Works OK, until you try to spell a word it doesn't know (like Antares orartisian).
4 ★Great game but needs a few extras: Leaderboard for playing against friends (best game, best word). And general leader board for best ever scores.
