5 ★Had time out errors but thanks to quick response from VIOFO it's all working now. Appreciate the help VIOFO! Now that the app is working, it has nice features and is simple to use. Recommend this app, first impressions are the A129 Duo camera is very nice and look forward to figuring out which settings are best for my application. Waiting for the parking mode hardwire kit so I can take advantage of that feature.
3 ★App connect properly to A129 Duo. It's good for configuring the dashcam. The live video is low quality and the aspect ratio is incorrect on my Note 10+. WiFi connection speed is darn slow. Not the app fault but I think the WiFi adapter on the dashcam is slow. Well, if Viofo is offering this feature, it should have used a better WiFi adapter, no? On my Note 10+, changing orientation most of the time crash the app, but it's ok on Note 8.
2 ★Leaves a lot to be desired. Pros: The ability to see videos without squinting or removing dashcam or SD card. Cons: Connection is spotty. Ad hoc only. Not sure if this is the app or the dashcam problem, but my cam crashes and hangs a lot, settings are often reset. Also of you gonna track me, might as well give me a QoL feature like turn off parking mode when I'm parking in my own garage. All in all I can live without this app.
5 ★Excellent update with option to switch camera using the over lay buttons in live preview. Pls have another button to flip the mirror image in live preview for the rear camera. This will be a great addition and will make the app very useful. Above all I thank the company and the developers for listening to the user feedback and making changes to the app to make it more user-friendly. Thank you
1 ★This app is disappointing - I got a Viofo A129 because people raves about its performance. To me, part of the dashcam experience is the software, and it boggles me that Viofo hasn't made their software more appealing. Downloading videos is painfully slow - less than 1mb/s, for two devices that are literally a foot apart. I've tried 2.4g and 5g and neither is sufficient. A one minute video is about 140mb, so it takes me 2 or 3 minutes to download it. Viofo, please step up your game!
4 ★Android: need to open the app several times before the camera connects, why cant it just connect the first time? iOS: need to toggle airplane mode to connect. Why? Both: Parking mode should auto enable/disable depending on GPS movement, why I have to enable and disable manually? Parking mode should continue recording with motion, not only a for certain time. Also can we get the map display under the videos? GREAT APP AWESOME PRODUCT SO FAR. Looking forward to your feedback.
1 ★Unable to connect to the camera using the app. On Android, Galaxy S10. After turning on the cameras wifi, and finding it on my phone, I attempt to connect using the app. The app immediately crashes. Tried a number of different approaches with the same result. Camera has newest firmware.
1 ★Useless app. It's atrocious, doesn't work on Android, but works flawlessly on Apple?? I've had to keep my old iPhone so I can access footage. Can't download anything to android phone, barely able to get my camera to connect to the app. Not very happy. Would love it if you guys can rectify this 👍👍
3 ★So far I can connect my cam and the app just fine but when I got into the app, I would say there are missing features or functions which need to be added. In short, the developer should take a look at Xiaomi Yi Smart Dashcam app as a guideline for adding functions and features.
2 ★Viofo App Not Working For OnePlus 6. It states that its connected to A129 Duo Firmware Version 1.5, but no internet found. Tried disconnecting mobile data and still not working. Tried with a Huawei P20 Smart phone and works fine. Can you sort this out please Viofo 👍. Still won't put me off your dashcams as the quality and discretion is awesome. You just need to tweak the software and firmware and everything will be great.
3 ★Needs pre buffer g sensor recording and needs more advanced settings for motion detection to set how long to record when motion is detected also to set seperate quality settings if when on motion detection or when driving (to save space on sd card) etc.. But i like Viofo they are really cheap and got good quality cameras
3 ★This app was working fairly well up to the latest firmware update August 20 now when I play the footage back it starts with a small revolving white circle with a line in its middle then the footage starts then stops each stop with the small circle with a line in it this goes on throughout the footage. It plays ok on the computer.
