2 ★1) I would like to be able to set hours for motion sensing, rather than always on or always off, 2) have the ability to change the names of the cameras (i.e. basement, garage, front door, etc.), and 3) sort the events most recent first. Otherwise, it is stable and I can creep out my girlfriend when she is home before me with the camera speaker feature. UPDATE: This app was fine when I first got it. Now I see a consistent problem...get a notification, go to the app to check it. Can only watch one, crash.
1 ★This app is good when it works. I doesn't like Android 6.0 and even states the app was created for an earlier version of Android. Uniden seems to have abandoned this app as they don't seem interested in keeping up with android updates. 80% of the time there is no reply on my Android 6.0 device. Not cool. If you're looking to invest in a Security camera system that can be used with a reliable app for Android, I would NOT suggest using Uguard or even UNIDEN for that matter.
3 ★It is wonderful when it works. I get the notifications that there was motion but nothing is showing that something was recorded. Most of the time I can't even view live feed from my cameras. Wish this would get fixed. Good thing my family live all around me and can go check it out bc when I can't pull up my live feed or see a recorded for a motion alert I get scared and have to call to get someone to go check it out.
3 ★It works OK around the house as long as I am in range of the router and have my phone set to wi-fi. I have a provider for my home internet, and a different for my cell phone. Even if right in front of the monitor, it will not load if I am using my cell provider rather than using it from wi-fi. The app has a great picture and sound. I like that I can take still pics, but do not like that it stores the pics somewhere I cannot save them to a file from. It doesn't do video? I also wish the app worked in quad view. It's a shame it doesn't work away from home because that is the whole reason for an app like this... The app could have been much better.
1 ★Update...contacted uniden 4 times with no answer. Going to the website revieled that it appears uniden are discontinuing all security cameras. A fix doesn't appear to be coming. Used to work good, now as of this morning I receive no alerts on my mobile, either fix your app or offer a downgrade to the previous version
2 ★In the old version of this app I was able to view and hear everything going on in and out of my home, and video play was only a couple seconds delayed, now with this updated version, video captured on my phone is dalayed about a minute or more, and I no longer have sound. Older version of the app worked so much better. If I'm doing something wrong please tell me.
3 ★A nice working camera and dvr monitor system with major shortcomings in the android U Guard app. Need a few more features which would make this an awesome security system. They advertised on camera system box and this app it will email alert . It sends notifications to your tablet or phone only. Therefore you don't get snapshot with email alert. They lied. Support bad coming from likely China with inability to carry on any technical discussion only responding by script.
2 ★I can only play video feedback about 25% of the time. Usually the screen stays black, and I'm unable to watch the footage. The live feed works well pretty consistently, but it's a big problem not being able to watch any of the events.
2 ★The app is amazing when it works but unfortunately in my experience its been 40% of the time because of connection failures. Between having to reset my monitor and having to install and uninstall the app (per company directions) every other month, its becoming a pain.
2 ★Laggy and slow to connect. Misses motion detection occasionally or freezes up. I like the zoom and 2 way communication, but would be better if it was simultaneous.
3 ★Cameras have a delay. Really wish that you can make its own notification sound instead of what you use for other notifications. That would be helpful, especially in my situation.
2 ★The app seems to drain my battery. When I exit out of the app to try and save my battery, the app will somehow turn itself back on. I had to remove my camera and the exit the app before my battery would start lasting a full day again.
