Description

The ultimate virtual reality* experience: Star Chart VR lets you explore the solar system in a beautiful and accurate real-time space simulation.

Delight in exploring the solar system, from the Sun to the smallest moons of Saturn and out to the coldest, darkest, farthest reaches of Pluto. Gaze down and marvel at our solar system from above. Look up in wonder at the rings of Saturn. Feel the awe of floating in space around worlds no human has yet set foot on. Understand how the constellations of our night sky are made up of stars distant to each other in both space and time. Embrace the impossible distances of our solar system and the inordinate scale of our universe.

Star Chart VR is the virtual reality version of the hugely successful augmented reality astronomy & star gazing app - Star Chart - downloaded by over 25 million people world-wide.

Features currently include:
- NEW! Launch room that enables you to choose from 3 different Star Chart modes as well as easily access the tutorial.
- An accurate real-time simulation of the visible stars and planets as you see them from Earth
- A 3D solar system to explore, including the Sun, the planets and major moons
- All 88 constellations based on the beautiful artwork of 17th century astronomer Johannes Hevelius
- Thousands of the most visible stars of the night sky
- Named geological surface features on most of the rocky planets and moons of the solar system.
- NEW! Set foot on the surfaces of the moon and Mars, in our new Moments in Time experience. We've recreated some of the most memorable moments in the history of human space exploration, from the Apollo 11 Moon Landing to the Mars Science Laboratory's Curiosity Rovers exploration of Mars.
- NEW! The location of active Meteor Shower Radiances are now shown in our new Sky View mode.
- NEW! Messier Objects can now be found and selected.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★After zooming on earth it will not do anything else. Cannot fix it and now when I open the app it's just stuck on earth. $5 for a broken app... Edit: I sent an email to clarify, but have not received a response.
4 ★Shows the solar system and a lot of details about each body. Has other details about stars and is generally entertaining. Originally had issues with the app, but they have put in bug fixes so changed my review.
4 ★The orbit function is extremely annoying since you can't recenter the planet. Please make it so that whatever you're traveling to or orbiting is centered (i.e. you orbit rather than it orbits you).
2 ★Looks pretty sharp most of the time but there are frequent rendering problems that leave white spaces on the screen. Not yet able to view galaxies and the controls are a bit clunky. Hope it gets better.
2 ★For the last few days, I am unable to get any further than selecting Earth. I click on the controller button to move to the Earth and nothing happens. I click on the go back button and nothing happens. Very frustrating...
2 ★Has amazing potential but needs lots of bug fixes right now. Wait.
4 ★But the experience is great

1 ★It was stuck at the first scene prompt to select the moon. The earth was in the way and couldn't get it to select so never got to enjoy the app. Uninstalled and requested a refund. Bummer.
1 ★Bad scale Edit: everything looks like it is 5 meters in front of me. Maybe it doesn't matter if it is a 2d app, but for VR right scale is important.
2 ★It's OK a lot of issues though
5 ★Great app for VR
