‹소리숲길(Soundlines)›은 2017 서울 건축비엔날레 현장 프로젝트 ‹똑똑한 보행도시› 프로그램으로 기획된 증강현실 게임입니다. 종묘, DDP, 청계천, 광장시장 등 종로와 동대문 일대가 게임의 사이트로, 플레이어는 앱을 통해 WIFI 밀도, 빛, 소음 등 도시의 환경데이타를 수집하고, 이를 양분삼아 성장하는 가상의 숲 생태계를 경험하게 됩니다.서울 건축비엔날레 기간(2017.09.02 - 11.05)동안 DDP 현장에 설치될 컨테이너 부스에서는 앱을 통해 수집되는 환경 데이타의 Visualization과 시간에 따른 숲의 성쇠를 Timelapse로 보실 수 있습니다.

‹소리숲길(Soundlines)› 프로젝트는 도시의 본질적 속성 ― 상향식 프로세스를 통해 성장하는 유기체 ― 을 가상의 숲 생태계와 보행자 사이의 상호작용을 통해 보여주고자 기획되었습니다. 모바일앱을 통해 보행자는 도시환경을 구성하는 여러 층위의 데이터를 양분 삼아 자라나는 가상의 숲을 탐색하며, 일상 공간의 이면에 존재하는 도시 메커니즘을 경험하게 됩니다.
종로와 동대문 일대에는 도시의 환경을 수치화한 데이터(WIFI 밀도, 조도정보, 소음정보)를 바탕으로 자라는 가상의 식물군락이 존재합니다. 이 식물들은 자신의 DNA에 기록된 각각의 성장전략에 따라 성장하며 각기 다른 질감의 소리를 발생시키고, 관람객은 숲을 거닐며 식물들이 만들어내는 다양한 소리의 조합을 경험하게 됩니다.
관람객의 방문은 다시 중요한 데이터가 되어 숲 생태계의 진퇴를 결정하게 됩니다. 이렇게 형성된 소리숲 생태계는 도시 공간과 인간의 상호작용을 통해 만들어진 결과물인 동시에 상향성을 전제하는 도시 메커니즘의 청각적 반영이기도 합니다. 도시 공간을 공감각적으로 경험하며 숲에 남게 되는 여러분의 발자취는 창발적 과정을 거치며 소리로 변환되어 생성과 소멸을 반복할 것 입니다.
