ভারতে ২০০ বছরের পুরনো পুরি মঠে ৮৫ কোটি রুপি মূল্যমানের ১৭ টন রুপার গুপ্তধন পাওয়া যায়। আশ্চর্যের বিষয় হলো, পুরির এ পরিত্যক্ত মঠের পাশ দিয়ে জগন্নাথ মন্দিরে হাজার হাজার লোক যাতায়াত করলেও কারও চোখেই পড়েনি মূল্যবান এ সম্পদ। ধেনকানালে বরুন বড়াল নামের এক ব্যক্তি প্রায় ৩৫ কেজি ওজনের একটি রুপার খণ্ড বিক্রি করার চেষ্টা চালালে পুলিশ তাকে গ্রেফতার করে। পরে পুলিশ তাকে নিয়ে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করে। জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের এক পর্যায়ে বরুন বড়াল জানায়, সে এ রুপার খণ্ড জগন্নাথ মন্দিরের ডান দিকে অবস্থিত ইমার মঠ থেকে চুরি করেছে। পরে পুলিশ তার এ তথ্যের ভিত্তিতে ২০০ বছরের পুরনো ইমার মঠে যায় তল্লাশি করতে। তারা এ মঠে ৩৫ থেকে ৪০ কেজি ওজনের ৫২২টি রুপার খণ্ড পায়। যার ওজন প্রায় ১৭ টন। বর্তমান বাজার দরে এ রুপার মূল্য ৮৫ কোটি রুপি। রুপার খণ্ডগুলো একটি তালাবদ্ধ কক্ষে চারটি কাঠের বাক্সে পাওয়া যায়।
