You can now preview the map for each custom course. On the custom courses page, press and hold on a course name to display a pop-up menu with options to start or preview the course. You can still start a course by simply tapping it.When using Live Tracking, the tracking icon on the Row/Paddle screen now changes to indicate when CrewNerd is unable to transmit your tracking data.

5 ★Far more than I ever expected. Extremely consistent.
5 ★Superior to any GPS 'stroke coach' on the market, including the more expensive Neilson Kellerman units ,which I have trialed against in tandem. Have over 1mill meters with the unit and no longer use the NK. - the ability to customize the display screen with over a dozen outputs. - displays simultaneously 500/m splits, meters/second, meters/stroke, and avg those as well. -the negative black/white screen which is high visibility low & battery drain. -the check & bounce display ,a must for the serious rower interested in consistency of hull speed. -second by second recording of over a dozen parameters which can be exported in spreadsheet for analysis and graphing. -Google bread-crumb map of each piece. -excellent customer support which I have utilized on numerous occasions. -seemless connection with Polar & Wahoo HR monitors Yes, it pauses recording if one takes accepts a phone call or plays Angry Birds, but then so has the workout.... Have used the app on Samsung Note4, Galaxy S7 & S9
1 ★I dislike it immensly, loses signal mid workout and simply stops, difficult interface with the tracking site; can't find history can't find club etc. Apps like this need to work and be intuitive and reduce coaching time NOT INCREASE IT.
1 ★App is useless, don't waste your time like I did. The reason it's useless is that it doesn't work in the background, so if your phone turns off, or if you switch to another app to look something up, or if some notification pops up, or if any of a number of other things happen then it stops and you end up with only a partial recording. Given how easy it is for water drops to cause the phone to do something unintended and given how easy it is not to see it due to glare this is a real problem. I'm running some other live GPS tracking apps in the background and they record my full track while Crew Nerd never manages to. I've now tried it in 6 outings and it's just a no-go. Posts on the support forum don't seem to get any answer after several days. Too bad because the advertised features are great, but what's the point if the app doesn't really work...
