1 ★What a waste of time, over last year or two, I'm trying to use this app with SL and q2. Feels like a full time job, frustrating one at that, the outcome is very consistent, no go. Interesting bit with SL, camera shows connection right away, the phone wifi shows SL is connected as well, and yet app itself is rather confused...can't connect (?). Q2 is pretty well same, camera shows that is connected to via BT. BT on the phone shows is connected and the app, well, still confused. No connection.
1 ★This app used to work just ok. Since the last firmware update of the M10P I could connect only one time. After that it did not work again. No matter how many times i restart the phone or camera it does not work. The app when it works is quite useful if i quickly want to copy some photos to the phone or tablet. Would be nice if it had A-GPS like for example fuji offers in its app.
1 ★My goodness, one of the worst apps I've ever come across. Appalling connectivity. Phone found the camera, camera found the phone but they refused to connect. The instructions do not match the instructions on the camera. Bluetooth on the phone has a default setting of off. Turn it on and you cannot then tell the camera to connect. Did my research, bought a Leica specifically for the photos to download straight to the phone where I could upload to Social media. Think I've wasted my money.
3 ★It takes ages to pair it with my Q2. [update 2021] *It became free* From a premium brand like Leica, it is now reasonable and makes this app strong among the competition. I still had a .59€ yearly charge. why is that? To future Leica users : The UI is rather good and functionnal. Still doesn't export videos (from my Q2), very unconvinient. But there is a major improvement in term of connection with Q2. I have a Pixel 5, It's still long, but seems way much more reliable. The app has evolved : The Satellite and Date&Time sync are now mandatory and automatic. You could feel they disappeared. I would be great to control the color profiles (backup restore, but mainly EDIT through the app).
1 ★This app is least efficient. Unlike the camera this app does not work at all. I have tried multiple times to sync my Q2 camera with my android phone and it just never does it efficiently. It connects once and then can't find the camera again. I have to delete app and reinstall again and again for it to connect just once. I hope Leica will fix this soon, so that German efficiency can be seen in its app too.
1 ★This is a poorly designed, clunky and bug-ridden app which keeps disconnecting from my Leica Dlux 109. The prevous ImageShuttle app at least would allow me to wirelessly transfer photos to my cell phone, but was limited to 30 at a time. This one, on the other hand, keeps disconnecting. Leica tells me it is because there are more than 500 images on my SD card. How incredibly lame!
1 ★Not sure if it is the purpose, with my V-Lux 5, but I can only connect making a remote to the camera (with very limited option) , to be able to download the pictures. It could be much better to be able to download picture when I take picture without remote. As well the connection take long time to establish. Quiet disappointed by a brand like Leica.
2 ★Lately the connection between camera and smartphone very unstable, keeps dropping the connection before any meaningful download. Photo download when connected is very slow. And the connection takes minutes. Very unacceptable for this kind of expensive camera and unreliable app. It is not a difficult task to develop a better app. Please. We all need helps. Very frustrating in unstable connection
1 ★Update: just updated the cam firmware, now it NEVER connects. Worst! Decided to sell my Leica! /// Extremely Frustrating! Sometimes you can connect phone & cam, sometimes it doesn't work at all. Seems super random. I'm extremely disappointed (been 6 months and takes away the fun. My Leica now is just second choice when I need a good camera for quick family snapshots). I have other cams from different brands which are way cheaper and I NEVER had any issues connecting to their respective apps.
4 ★It is surprisingly good. Reliable is the key, and leica has done that. With an advantage to booting the camera inside your bag remotly and still not draining battery. Its simple, beats the sony, panasonic, olympus and fuji apps. However, it lacks being able to zoom or see fullscreen photos, leica app is the slowest, and cannot transmit videos as well. The king of camera apps is still insta360. (10 times faster, reliable, and features)....
5 ★i thought it didnt work, then i realise in later versions of android, when you connect to the camera, it will prompt you an optionn on whether you want to stay connected as it has no internet... you have to click yes! otherwise it will never work!! same happened to my in car camera. those having issues connecting, should look out for this. great app for my m10
1 ★Leica CL (v.4.0 firmware)connected once in over 20 attempts. This single time everything was working - file transfer, remote control. In the rest of the cases we have the spectrum of saying "Connected" followed by something got wrong, to actually freezing the whole camera without any responsiveness. Only after removal of the battery the camera would start. Maybe Leica should release variants for every camera model. It seems for some people it works well, not for me through.
