Die Felix Burda Stiftung (FBS) mit Sitz in München wurde 2001 von Dr. Christa Maar und Verleger Prof. Dr. Hubert Burda gegründet und trägt den Namen ihres 2001 an Darmkrebs verstorbenen Sohnes. Die Stiftung engagiert sich für ein Deutschland ohne Darmkrebs. Sie setzt sich für die Verbesserung der Darmkrebsvorsorge ein und motiviert zur Auseinandersetzung mit diesem Thema. Zu den Projekten der Stiftung zählen u.a. der bundesweite Darmkrebsmonat März, umfangreiche Werbe- und PR-Kampagnen, das größte Darmmodell Europas und der Felix Burda Award.
