A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Very disappointing. There's so much potential for digital climbing guides, but this app is just way too buggy to be useful. Using the "back" button typically causes the app to lock up or crash, which makes finding routes very difficult. It's also extremely difficult to find route descriptions - I found them once, after 30 minutes of looking, but then the app crashed and I can't find them again. Unintuitive UI. Maybe the devs could make a FAQ or video on how to use the app?
1 ★Book I bought can not be downloaded and support is not responding! Waste of money!
3 ★omg the pages are a mess, the interface closes or restarts your lists, so many things are unclear. i like it for the ease of acces but the interface and all is not user friendly. so much potential overshadowed from glitchiness
2 ★More useful for some areas than Mountain Project, and GPS/trails are useful + I like supporting guidebook authors. However, the UI and functionality is very clunky. Filters and where you've scrolled to frequently reset, so you either have to scroll through a bunch of stuff you don't want to see or keep re-selecting the same filters. Also, every time the app is idle it loses my login so I have to re-authenticate which requires data - very unideal for a hobby that often takes you out of signal.
1 ★Navigation is garbage and little arrows on the edge of the screen are unclippable. Pray your area has a paper guidebook or a good Mountain Project section. This app is not functional.
2 ★I really want to like this more as it helps support local area developers but the ui makes it so painful. I think they need to do away completely with the three panel design. trying to resize the screen to actual read route details or switch between photos or maps always ends up taking like 15 taps to get them in the right position. May be better to just have route info, pictures, and maps just open different full screen pages.
1 ★Crashes often. Back button blanks out the screen and app must be reloaded.
4 ★Update to my previous review: Nine months later, and a lot of the bugs have been resolved. The flow of the user-interface has improved as well. Still a couple of bugs there, but it's definitely getting better. March 24, 2023: Clunky UI, not very intuitive, reported bugs don't get any attention.
1 ★I hate this app so much. The interface is complete garbage, constantly sending me back to a list of climbs that aren't anywhere near where I am, forcing me to find the crag anew each time. The map is inaccurate. You can add notes to a tick but can never see them again. Sometimes you can click on routes in the topo and sometimes you can't?? Behaves about as unintuitively as possible for every action. I wish Gunks App had a Powerlinez guidebook and I could finally delete this app.
1 ★Why is the interface so bad? The interface is terrible to use, buggy, and constantly crashes. My main gripe is that you have to manually scroll through hundreds of climbs or search every time to bring up a particular sub area. There's no way to bookmark areas or browse through a collapsed view of areas and sub areas. It's like the designers wanted to replicate the inconveniences of handling a physical guidebook on a phone app.
