Shri Eknathi Bhagwatएकनाथी भागवत हा नाथांचा अत्यंत महत्त्वाचा, सर्वांगसुंदर आणि लोकप्रिय असा ग्रंथ आहे. हा ग्रंथ म्हणजे महाराष्ट्रातील भागवत धर्माच्या, श्री ज्ञानेश्वरांनी उभारलेल्या मंदिराचा आधारस्तंभ होय, असे बहिणाबाईंनी एका अभंगांत म्हटले आहे. म्हणूनच वारकरी संप्रदायाच्या प्रस्थानत्रयींत त्याला पहिले स्थान आहे. एकनाथी भागवत प्रथम वाचून समजून घेतले म्हणजेच ज्ञानेश्वरींतील प्रमेयाचा अर्थ नीट कळतो. एकनाथी भागवताशिवाय ज्ञानेश्वरी संपूर्ण समजत नाही असे म्हणतात. शास्त्रसुधारक विष्णुशास्त्री बापट यांनी केलेले मराठी भाषांतर फारच छान आहे.
एकनाथी भागवत हा एकनाथांचा एक महत्त्वाचा ग्रंथ असून वारकरीपंथास आधारभूत आहे. संस्कृतमधील भागवत पुराणाच्या एकादश स्कंधावरील ही ओवीबद्ध मराठी टीका आहे. त्याची रचना इ.स. १५७० ते इ.स. १५७३ या काळात झाली. सत्ताविसाव्या अध्यायात पूजाविधी आहे. सर्वांभूती समानता आणि भगवद्‌भाव हे नाथांच्या शिकवणीचे सार म्हणून सांगता येईल. भक्तीच्या द्वारे परमार्थाची प्राप्ती करून घेण्याच सुलभ मार्ग प्रापंचिकांपुढे ठेवणे, हे या ग्रंथाचे प्रयोजन होते. आपल्या गुरूच्या आदेशावरून या ग्रंथाची रचना केल्याचे एकनाथ सांगतात. पैठण येथे असताना त्यांनी पाच अध्याय लिहिले. एकनाथांच्या एका चाहत्याने काशीस जाताना ते पाच अध्याय सोबत नेले. भागवत ग्रंथाचा हा प्राकृत अवतार पाहून काशीक्षेत्रात विद्वानांना क्रोध आला आणि त्यांनी एकनाथांना काशीस बोलावून घेतले. तेथे त्यांनी काशीच्या मणिकर्णिका घाटावर संपूर्ण भागवताची रचना केली आणि ती विद्वज्ज नांपुढे मांडली. तेथे हा ग्रंथ विद्वज्जनांच्या पसंतीस उतरला आणि त्या ग्रंथाची त्याच विद्वज्जनांनी काशी मध्ये मिरवणूक काढली.
