Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Granted this is a work in progress but it's nowhere near what I would recommend for someone on the front line. Effectively it's a set of links to: -The child protection companion - the green book (immunisations, what to do about baby exposed to chicken pox etc) - 'key practice points' which is essentially a list of definitions What it doesn't have: - what does a sick child look like? How do you manage them? Ideally should link to the spotting the sick child website endorsed by the rcpch. They should look into EPLS/ APLS definitions/ algorithms and linking/ publishing those - Ideally they should have tested their app to ensure that it hits at least the level 1 RCPCH syllabus with associated links to relevant guidelines/ organisations re: management As it is, I don't see the point in this as a portable app. It isn't as useful at the bedside as the bnf, basic observations, burns calculator, sim tools, a calculator, neonatal apps such as neomate, to name but a few
5 ★Very useful for both exam and daily practice
2 ★Mention at door that it is inassessible to non UK doctor
1 ★Mention that you need to be from a specific country to use it
